Stupid me, I don't know much about it, but it looks cute and fun to play.

Should I try it? Pros and cons? It is Nexon...

Thanks :)

This is no doubt the best Nexon MMO. Currently it's my favorite, and everything else feels boring, even the FPS's that I normally enjoy. I played a bit last year, got a Fiona (my second favorite class) to the mid-levels, and quit it. A fair amount of the playerbase is retarded, and because it's Nexon, they're not afraid to jam it full of cash shop cosmetics and xp/drop boosters and such.

About a month ago, the first new class, Karok, was released in the NA version, and I came back to try him out. He made me realize how amazing this game is. If you really care, I'll link to a thread I made on the nexon forum about being automatically kicked when you join a free lobby. Whether it had to do with elitism, or them not liking the new class is irrelevant now. Just read my posts (username "Diarmad"), I feel like I explained my favorite part of the game over the course of the thread.

It's like a cross between Mabinogi (the original IP) and Monster Hunter, and I highly recommend it. Nexon somehow made an obscure gem if you're into the action part of games, instead of hot-key auto-attacking grind-fest MMOs.

From another thread (though you probably won't have a clue what I'm talking about, it's my thought process leveling up the new guy... you'll know what I'm talking about if you end up making him, WHICH I RECOMMENED!11!):

"Make a Karok. It's like a rollercoaster of new, awesome experiences that breathes life into this game.

Levels 1-6: "Eh, kind of slow... I mean I'll play him up til chieftain, give it a chance, but I don't get what the big deal is."

Levels 7-12: "I'm big and stompy, so I knock down these bosses a ton, and now you say I can pick them up and deck them out? That's kind of cool I guess, so this guy is like a grappler niche huh."

Levels 13-15: "Wow, I finally got a clash... bummer I could only use it on one boss on one attack, because that was AWESOME."

    Levels 16-20: "Pillar Charge + Dropkick = I am now a truck."

Levels 21-26: "Absorb Shock, kinda underwhelming tbh..." *rolls through a 3-hit combo*  "Dayumn!"

Levels 27-30: "Wow... was the bear always this easy to do alone?"

Levels 31-49: Indescribable. About the same level as Hidden in particular... everything just comes together, and you wonder when the nerf is going to come.

It's been tons of fun. I'd say the closest thing to him is sword Fiona, but I can't even imagine doing the things I do now on anything but a Karok."

As you can see I'm in love with this guy. The OP of the thread asked if she should make an Evie or a Fiona (both female characters), so she'll probably just respond with something like "ewww I don't want to play a huge ugly asian guy lol," but I posted it anyway. This is a Nexon game, so yeah, some people just think it's dress-up.

OH, and another thing? The story is awesome. Entirely subjective, but I love it as much as I love the Warcraft IP. If you want to know more about it before trying, these are the two sites I use for it:

    http://vindictusdb.com/

http://www.vindictuswiki.com/wiki/Vindictus_Wiki (slightly outdated, does not get much love, db is probably better for most things)

There's an East and West server, I don't know much about the over versions other than NA. If you pick East, my name is "Kirlric". I'll gladly give you some tips.

Nothing exciting in combat system in this game. Feels very repeatitive,  I got bored after 10 levels.

Yeah, I admit it's kind of boring until about 25-ish. Either everything is easy, or you don't have your core skills yet. Give it some more time, or try Karok, because he is the most visceral class, up in the boss's face timing your attacks to proc Absorb Shock to take no damage and just wail on him while everyone else is in a corner drinking potions going like "DAMN!"

Clearing trash is also definitely a bore, but that gets better as well. In the first boat (area) there are usually about three stages (levels) per "quest," with a wimpy miniboss and then a slightly stronger guy. The quests get much more varied, and usually there are more minibosses, less area to cover (though the third boat, Ainle, kinda backtracks), and less little guys to waste your time. You can bypass a lot of them in later boats by just running by them as well.

The combat is the best I've played in an MMO. The engine is great and is tons more engaging than the usual autoattack or button mashing traditional.

It can be kinda repetative but it does take quite a bit of skill.  Especially playing Lann.  Its fun though there are a lot of ways to kill a boss.
