Argh!  I just cannot figure out why Trion has ignored some of the most annoying issues.

1.  At level 40, I'm still dismounted by a level 10 wolf on the first hit.  Why it aggros on me in the first place is a little bit of a mystery.  I can kill it with a sneeze.  This mechanic serves no other purpose than to slow my travel down when riding through gray areas.  It's not fun to be dismounted by gray mobs.

2.  Armor variety still sucks.  Purples still look exactly like every other armor in game.  The only difference is the stats and the name of the item.  Most are identical in looks.

3.  The wardrobe feature further confines my character by only allowing my warrior to equip plate items.  Even though I can wear leather / chain / etc., I can not use those items in the wardrobe.  Stupid.  Instead of opening up more looks for my character (in a very limited world of selections), they restrict me to only a handful of choices for dress up.

Okay, I'm done venting.  And on a positive note, I've been reading the lore in game and it's really pretty good.  There -- My post wasn't all negative :p

    1. Did you run directly through the lvl 10 mob? No chance it should have aggro'd you at lvl 40 unless you ran directly through it. Also this is an Anti-bot feature and it will never change. If they did not aggro you bots could farm mine/herb nodes all day uninterupted. Rift is pretty lacking on material bots for this sole reason actually.

    2. See pic. It took me roughly 30-45min one (yes I am serious) to sort through all my armor and figure out a look I liked.

This is my DPS gear set...I am wearing all dps gear, but in my ward drobe slot I have the Rank 4 Helm...Rank 4pvp shoulders and Tanking chest piece from Charmers Cauldera

    3. I do agree the ward drobe tabs needs some work. Example above: In my dps set I am actually wearing a Leather chest piece, but it looks like I am wearing a plate chest piece

My guess is you can thank the pricks of the world for this one. If I could put leather in my ward drobe, then there is the chance I would ninja a item from a instance solely because it is awesome looking!?!?

People also cried in pvp it would be OP because you could not tell who you are fighting. Go see the probably 300 page "we want a ward drobe tab" on the WoW forums for all the reasons they want/not want this tab. People actually cried more about the negative implications of it and now after they put it you never here about it, except wanting more vanity items.

Nope.  I rode beside them -- not through them.  In fact, I can stop and just stand there and as soon as they respawn, they re-aggro on me.  I'm not touching them mind you, just standing beside them.  The aggro thing wouldn't bother me if they couldn't dismount me as I road through.  The dismount thing is the real issue.

The funny thing about the PvP complaint of not knowing who you are fighting is that I CAN wear any of the armor that I'd like in the wardrobe right now.  I just can't use them as vanity items.  If I wanted to, I could go into a PvP instance with leather on -- no problem.  I HATE when PvP cuts into my PvE fun.   Anywho, it would be nice if they'd either open the wardrobe up a little, or add a lot more variety to the armor sets available in terms of looks.

Oh, and thanks for a decent reply.  It's nice to hear from someone who isn't a rude sarcastic assclown here every once in a while :]

np. I can pretty much tell you that the ward drobe tab was pushed out in the middle a BUNCH of other crap that was going on back in March I think when all hell was breaking lose. I.E. 200 page threads about how Rift should have RvR or 100 page threads about boob sliders.

They have bee adding vanity sets each patch without the use of a cash shop, but other stuff like a pvp battleground or raids have trumped it. I am almost to the point with mmo pvp'rs that I wish they would just delete the entire aspect from the game. I have never seen such a community that is just never happy no matter what happens.

Any MMORPG that tries to appeal to them I pity them bad.

The reason that there ain't no bots is because it's not profitable ... credits are to easy to get and little to spend it on.

    CHARMER'S CALDERA

    * Updated Charmer's Caldera population to address a farming issue.

^ that note is from the last  hotfix. The bot'rs had figured out this process and I can reveal it now that it is hotfixed:

    1. Park your bot outside Charmers Caldera

    2. Zone in and mine that Orichilam node that was really close to the door

    3. Zone out. Reset instance..Rinse and repeat

They could not do this in the open world because the lvl 45 mobs that are parked directly on top the node would completely own the bots face. Never under estimate how lazy people are lol
