its already bad enough when i found out they took out real time aiming.. so every projectile is auto aim and probably homing...so i wanna know can u at least dodge things coming straight at u.. or are u gonna get hit no matter what with a dice roll miss...

i think it be important in pvp matches.. pretty stupid if ur gonna get hit by everything

Once you are locked by someone you can't avoid projectiles manually BUT you have to use skills to do it, expecially dodge and parry are dependant on the class you use. So is a matter of use the correct skill in the correct time.
Even in Tera you can't avoid projectile in the time you are locked.

These next-gen games haven't a true physics and use a hybrid targeting system so if you want manually dodging a projectile you should look for a pure fps mmo. The only games on the market with true fps combat system are atm Darkfall and Mortal Online.

You cannot "dodge" a single-target attack.

When, say, a force master sends a fireball your way, it's locked on you, so moving out of the way won't do much to help.

You can, however, avoid damage through the usage of skills.

It is entirely possible to dodge AoE attacks, however, as they are not single-target.

Real time aiming, from what I've seen and understood, was never in Blade and Soul, that was only in TERA. From the 1st CBT, the target is similar to the idea of real time aiming, where you use your mouse to control the camera angle, but a target is still locked on based on the centre of your camera, so you will always have a target. You still have to aim for your intended target, but it isn't as crucial as say in FPS, personally I like this idea better. I also understand that in CBT2 they have a more traditional target system (tabtabrevenge) as an option. I don't have a problem with the lock on target, but the tab target system is so unintuitive that it is about time something better comes along.

Next point, well if you look at the videos, most of their attack involves the idea of grapple, so to be able to dodge a grapple is almost impossible I guess

As for projectiles, I actually havent seen any video that shows 'homing' projectiles, but for the comment that said you can use skill to dodge them, I guess he meant some skill shifts you into other position, breaking the path for the projectiles. But from what I've seen in the videos, projectiles in this game actually travels really fast, so you can't really have a lot of time to move out of the way like in WoW or others. Since they projectiles actually travels really fast, they won't really do a 180 and hit you in the back like other games, so it isn't too immersion breaking.

Err no, Tera use the same principle but with the crosshair instead of autotargeting. When you point someone into the crosshair you lock it pratically, shooting a projectile and you never miss it, the projectile spin and follow the target. Of course if you shoot while the target is not in the crosshair it result in a miss.

So yes, Tera combat system is a bit more tactical because you have to keep the enemy into the crosshair costantly but the hit box is so large that pratically you can't never miss a hit.
