Darth Vader Negotiates a Monthly Fee for EA

I find this hillarious.  More-so than the Hitler video, though those will always be classics.  With all the seriousness around SW:TOR, and potential concerns, it's always good to get a nice laugh. I hope this wasn't posted already.

? I found a Portuguese speaking Darth Vader kinda funny, but I don't really get what's hilarious about the topic. It's that EA is pictured as Darth Vader? What was the topic about, I'm not familiar with the Amazon discussion, what did I miss?

That was funny as hell.  And possibly true.

Editted for Maverick Response:  Read the Terms and Conditions for EA/Bioware's ToR.  Basically they reserve the right to ban you because they can and they reserve the right to charge whatever they feel like.  Etc. Etc.

Not sure that it matters thought because ALL EULA's/T&C are RIDICULOUS now adays.  I remember WAYYYYY back in the day.. PC Gamer did an article about buying a game and disagreeing with the EULA and trying to return the then opened PC game because you did not agree to the EULA.   It was interesting as hell.

That would imply they actually listen to gamers.

As a side topic, im Portuguese, and I find this brasilian portuguese translation of the movies absolutely hideous.

Besides, I cant really concentrate on the subtitles since they have nothing to do with what the man is saying =P

Oh which brings me to, what Hitler has to say about his Aussie friends being blocked:

I thought that all EULA's nowadays had these 'cover your ass' clauses, or are there points in the EA one that are hugely different from other EULA's? Just wondering, it isn't something I've been investigating much.

As for the OP, ok, I get the video now. [Mod Edit]

No one from the regions outside EU or US will be blocked by IP or credit card, it's just that the launch sales efforts will be focused on the EU/US area.

I don't see the difference with the gradual distribution you saw with some other MMO launches in the past.

More people speak Brasilian Portugese than Portugal Portugese in the world. ;)

    Classic stuff :)

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience"

Usually I love these kinds of videos, but aside from a Protuguese speaking Vader, it just wasn't that funny or that well done.  Rather bland really.

EA force choked Vader into selling the subscription idea to their main target "ASIA." We can only hope it deserve the subscription, else Vader died in vain.
