Hey all, I played EQ2 a bit (highest character level 19) way back and while I liked it I was playing a few games at the time and EQ2 was the one that fell by the wayside. Recently I fired up my 45 free days and am looking to give it a real go and hopefully sub in and continue on when the days run out. What i'm looking for is some character guidance. I want to start fresh and really learn the game. I've always liked spell casters but have played all types over the years. Any suggestions on fun spell casting characters that can solo but would still be wanted in groups? I do like grouping. Are there any to stay away from that are not wanted in groups? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

but its better to play whats fun for you

What he said is true though, in EQ2 its not entirely the case of hey whats needed etc, when he said play what you would like to play he really did mean it..
E.g you wont see always a ton of brigands about, that dont mean its because nobody wants them, its because they are not so easy to master for when in a group, but they bring a ton to the table if you use them well, and are good at playing them.. Everything is useful to roll, the best bet is to read about what each can deliver in its class and then go with what might be interesting play style for oneself..
Thank you for the advice
