ya hello kitty is very popular !

Try Dragon Nest by Nexon. It is in Open Beta in NA, but has been going a while in China so is pretty solid. It is kid friendly, but actually has complex combat.

I don't know too much about end game. I haven't played it, much, but my cousins do.

Or try Champions Online. You'll have to decide if there are any themes that are too adult. Vague drug references, (though with a say no to drugs attitude), canibalistic zombies come to mind.

But it is a great game.

Guild Wars is another good one for two people to play together and I don't recall anyting very inappropriate for teens. Some drinking references, but all pretty tasteful. The skills can be complex to chain together and be the big end bosses on each campaign, but if they get stuck at all there are good online guides.

Just from watching a couple vids of hello kitty and wizard 101, i tend to think hello kitty would be easier than W101.

I don't really know. When I found out HKO had no full loot PvP I skipped it.

    Earth Eternal!

It's free to play, and you really dont need to buy anything to have fun.  You play as animals that use swords/magic.  A really great game.  Plus you download next to nothing to play it!

It's still in open beta at the moment, but anyone can join.  Just be aware that they are wiping all characters at the end.

I know you're trying to be funny here, but since I believe the OP was serious in her/his request I have to say this:

The game is NOT called what's typed above.  It's simply....

    HELLO KITTY ONLINE.

Personally, I think 12 and 14 are ages that are too old for this game though.

Sorry your text was so small I could bearly hear it.

But in all non-obnoxiouslylargetext-seriousness, I would have to agree that Dragons Nest might be a good choice, or possibly even Eden Eternal, also a free to play mmo with magic and those quest things I hear your daughters like so much.

You can decide if it's too mature for them or not, or if they even showed an interest in the movies:

Lord of the Rings has a free version. They could try it and subscribe later if they like it.

    Lots of quests and magic.

Also, I have not tried it, but perhaps Pirates of the Caribbean Online. My neighbor says his kids love it. They're about the same age.

It's not about fighting, it's about balance. It's not about enlightenment, it's about balance. It's not about balance.

At those ages, maybe try Maplestory.

    eden eternal?

  • scottnsscottns Member UncommonPosts: 231

    Lego Universe?

  • ValuaValua Member Posts: 520

Star Wars Clone Wars Adventures (Kid friendly Star Wars game.)

Club Penguin (Very popular among young people.)

Toontown Online (Disney characters within an MMO.)

Hello Kitty Online (But it might be a step backwards from Wizard 101, it might be for younger players.)

Or, if you think they are mature enough to start on a real begginers MMO, try Allods Online, Runes of Magic or World of Warcraft (the third of which you have to pay monthly, but is the best of all three by a clear mile.)

Allods and Runes of Magic's community is polite and will help with anything, World of Waracraft's on the other hand simply isn't, full of bad mouthed idiots, In my opinion anyway.

    Hope this helped!

I can't belive I'm suggesting this, but I would try Spiral Knights, its F2P and very cartoony. But if you feel they are mature enough to handle it, I would suggest World of Warcraft. Just make sure they do not get addicted, or it won't be pretty.

Lord of the Rings Online, in my opinion. Or Free Realms.

Wizard101 and Lego Universe are funny with lots of missions (for all levels of gaming experience).  Both have very good (and fast) moderating so safety is assured.   Don't think of lego blocks when you think of Lego Universe.  Yes, you have property to build on and you can use the blocks you win to build with, but you can also make a lovely park with trees for your pets.  The game is filled with exploring and missions that make you say "wow" every so often.  You will have to use your brain power to figure out some things jumping into a ravine when there looks to be no other way to get to the other side ... and "wow" a huge blast of air appears and you float over to the other side ... so much fun ... for all ages and any gaming experience.  I challenge "hard core" gamers to do the missions in Forbidden Valley and beyond.

There is new game coming out for kids its called Star Wars The old Republic, it has really good artstyle for kids and you can be Jedi !!! This is must check.

Well since both of your daughters are starting up in puberty something like Helo Kitty or Star wars the Clone adventures certainly wont do. Well eventually its all about what you wish your daughters are playing, but for certain keep looking at the 12 year and older sign which your youngest daughter really is. I first couldnt believe it myself that I should allow my kids to play 12 year and up games if they end up being 12 but that is another story.

What I would suppose for a great game and still cost efficient is Guild Wars, it was one of the first MMOs I've started with, and god it was great back then, and I bet that your girls will have a great time in there. A beautiful world to explorer and some great magic to find in there to! The community has a hard core always online so it's no dead place whatsoever.

If you would choose for something 'bigger' and by bigger I mean more by the time I would choose for games such as Rift or LotRO or perhaps even better.. World of Warcraft -- Although I have to admit the allure the game brings with it isnt all that great. The first three games don't have a bad image to the 'outside' world and have some great advantures and magic to experience there.

    Good luck in your choice!

I'm afraid not, it's true, I don't know why im so lazy, im supposed to see a psychiatrist to see what they can do, but I keep putting it off, the laziness keeps getting worse so I think I'm going to have to go ahead and turn myself into the lazy police, they'll probly put me on a bunch of pills and I'll be so doped up I'll look like a zombie from diablo 2 and if I get pissed off or say anything stupid they'll probly send me off to some place that scares the hell out of me so wish me luck, I don't want to go to a psych ward

Hide -n-go seek, freeze tag, marco polo (requires a swimming pool) and many more. Get them off the computer it is nothing but evil.

It's too late for many of us but not for them.

  • ZooceZooce Member Posts: 586

Current MMORPG options are not worth your girls' free time.  Get them off the computer and doing something active outside.  Guild Wars 2, TERA, and Star Wars should be released later this year.

I'd have to agree with those above that WoW would be a good chouce for kids starting out.  It's very noob/casual friendly and now you can play for free to level 20 so if they don't like it, you simply uninstall.
