I'm jumping back and forth between a bunch of games. None of which are MMORPGs.
Fallout 3... FO3 > FONV. Heavily modded, of course. Love having on Sandtrooper gear and a T21 in this game due to some great mods.
Company of Heroes - With "Blitzkrieg" mod. Relic's finest RTS, IMO.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines - Nice seeing Jeanette and V.V. again.
Arcanum: of Magicka and Steamworks - Old RPG, love the large and very unique game world.
Oblivion - Lotsa mods. Luv it.
Rome Total War - With "Roma Surrectum II" mod. Finished a successful campaign as Rome, preparing for a Macedonian campaign.
Medieval 2 Total War - With "Stainless Steel" mod. Finished a successful campaign as those crazy Scots. Currently playing as the Mongols, and generally being an a**hole to everyone in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
All stuff I can play on my laptop.
"I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." (First Lieutenant Clifton B. Cates, US Marine Corps, Soissons, 19 July 1918)
Vanguard and I'm extremely, extremely happy to be back. Its a total blast. So many things to do, so nicely challenging. Why, I might even look into diplomacy this time, just to be complete and being able to make civic buffs for crafting.
I play on Halgar. Bad ping is intolerable to me and would take the fun out of the game. Especially in a game like Vanguard, which has great raiding !
Not one single game, which is quite strange, have been going out a lot more, specially because summer is beautiful in Portugal, and we have awesome beaches.
When I am really bored I do a couple rounds of TF2, but I dont really consider that playing a game, maybe 4 hours in the last month or so
There is enough of a pop to have good battles, with up to 40 people per side in the lower tiers(2 and 3). And there seems to be no lag at the moment = win win situation.
Oh and Fifa Ultimate Team, which is like a management game and football game all rolled into one.
I'm screwing around in Oblivion, getting ready for Skyrim; TF2 when I have the "go kill other humans posing as pixels" urge, and playing with my daughter as much as I can before/during/after playing the aforementioned games.
I quit WoW for the 2nd and final time back in April. I have had it with raids and organization in my free time, I get enough of that at work. I much prefer the casual pick up and play approach that I can accomplish soemthing by myself but i na persistant world. I feel that rewards, loot, xp and any other thing a game offers should be able to be aquired by anyone with some vested time to finish and the wherewithal to see it through. Because of that I much prefer the nature of sandbox style games.
With that dissertation being said, I have went back to my original MMO that started this whole thing for me 11 years ago:
ASHERONS CALL
It has every thing I want in a game as long as you dont mind some dated graphics the gameplay cant be beaten, and untill a game is designed with as much free form solo minded but group friendly environments for the harder core then im staying put here, and loving every minute of it. Currently level 216 and plugging along, aquiring loot, finishing "REAL" quests, and not jsut fed-ex quests that plague the themepark landscape, im talkign quests that take hours to finish, have you running from one end of the world to the other, figuring out puzzles, making jumps and split second decisions, all at my time frame and because Im not max level doesnt mean I am not potent in my own right when it comes to group content.
Playing: GW2 Waiting on: TESO Next Flop: Planetside 2 Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
Just now saw this - and I just reinstalled Oblivion. Never played it with ANY mods in the past - any ideas as to what I should look for/what site has some good ones with descriptions?
Finally finishing up games ive had forever on Steam..
Currently playing Borderlands and/or Fallout New Vegas. Finally got a level 25 character in Borderlands.
After i finish these two i will finish The Witcher then finally play the Witcher 2 . Typically if im in a gaming mood i can finish games with in a week.Lately i also been poking around Age of Conan and Lord of the Rings.
Funny Story.. Lord of the Rings before i unsubbed i finally bought a house.Logged off... Came back yesterday and the bastards charged me 50 silver upkeep every week while i was gone.By the time i came back i only had 40 silver left and the sum bitches took my house back ><
Recently finished Witcher 2, Amnesia: the Dark Descent, Alice:Madness Returns, and may now go for Deadspace 2 (a bunch of dark games there haha). Looking at starting Shogun 2 as well...I keep trying random beta/new mmos but nothing keeps me long.
I am playing no MMOs right now. I am letting my batteries charge up for TOR and GW2. I have dusted off my PSP and enjoying a lot of SNES games: Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, and others.
