As the title says, simple question. What aspect of TOR could fail yet not effect your gaming experience. As in you would never use that feature or have any use of that feature.
For me It's got to be Raids if my guild needs my help I'll gladly lend a hand, other than that I have no interest what so ever.
[Fail = horrible feature, getting torn apart by media and gamers alike.]

Fail for you personally? or for everyone? Kinda hard to judge since one person might like something others dislike, or dislike something others like.
Fail for everyone, as in the feature is the ET kind of rubbish.

Hmm, well for me personally I'd say crafting and operations could fail and it wouldn't make a darn bit of difference on my playstyle.
Oh ... I like crafting and harvesting. As an alternate way of killing time. Too much button meshing hurts my fingers and eyes.
Personally, any and all forms of PvP could be left out and I would never miss it.
Perhaps. I'm just not a crafting fan of any mmo. I probably won't even bother with it in SWTOR.
yeah in as much as i seldom pvp unless it is really well done. SWG and DAOC, only, as I recall.
A good way to look at it though is would you seek out crafted goods, PVE goods (market), or PVP gear? Also the crafting does offer upgrades for equipment to. So would that effect your playstyle at all?

I voted world pvp but any pvp and then raiding could have been my vote but hopeful in the end that TOR will be the game to get me involved in all those elements which I've only played two mmorpg's that have done that so far.
I would say the "Solo Content."
You can't have companinons fail, since the game is balanced around them.
You can't raids fail, otherwise you either can't get good gear, or you have to play a broken aspect to get good gear.
The story can't fail, as the majority of the game is focused on story.
PvP can't fail, simply because I like it. This one is strictly personal, but this is probably the first thing that should break if anything HAD to be broken.
Economy and Crafting both drive the game a bit. Both will contribute to pretty much the entire game as a whole, maybe not so much crafting... but both are still pretty important to have for an overall feel.
You don't really need the solo content. If that gets messed up, you can always play the grouped content. Since the game is subscription based, I would prefer to have group content working instead of solo content. (If I had to choose one.)
For me the Open World PvP could be a total failure and it wouldn't matter a bit to me. There are some aspects of PvP that really look fun, but I like the idea of the PvP Lakes more than Open PvP.

Huttball and BG PVP can rot in Hell. I hate mini games, and I dislike anything that diminishes world PVP.
I mean, there's a war on, so world PVP is pretty damn important to immersion, IMO.
I'm basically just looking for what a person feels is the least important feature to them.
I just want to remind everyone, this can very much be a discussion as well, I only offered a poll for those who prefer that approach, I'm far more interested in seeing posts like the above though. I think responses like this can give us a pretty good idea of what people in the community will be seeking.

Definitely world PvP. I like open world PvP as far as ganking/being ganked while leveling; but I have almost zero interest in objective based world PvP in themepark games.
DAoC, with its three way fight over border keeps, provides as much entertainment value to me as tarren mill kind of chaotic griefing world pvp. That was me.
I voted world PvP, only because in a game like this it's easy to know the ganking hot spots, unlike in SWG where you could be ganked anywhere. And I doubt there will be many spontaneous battles that just break out in all out wars on multiple planets.
I'd hope those of us from the pre-cu Bloodfin community , would push such an ideal none the less...:P

I could give two s**ts about the raiding aspect of the game. As long as there is a good economic system and good pvp, the raiding aspect can take a dump for all I care.
Currently Playing: World of Warcraft
I chose story. While I do enjoy it in single player RPGs my desires for a MMORPG are that story is left up to me, the player, to write and that the developers gives me a fine set of writing tools. So, yeah, that part can fail for me and I'm still okay. I'll just tinker around with crafting and play alot of Huttball. Maybe some world PvP to fill the gaps.

Seems this poll is more PVE vs. PVP.
I wouldn't miss operations as I'll probably rarely step into one. But World PVP failing would be a big disappointment.

Hard choice. I picked Huttbal as the lesser of many evils.
Interesting outcome too: raiding on number 1.
I think the raiding content in swtor will actually be one of it's pillars used to keep people playing. Perhaps "raiding" makes people think about very long progression trajectories, dkp and 40 mans too much while it could be implemented a lot more casual friendly then you'd expect.
My brand new bloggity blog.
I agree on the Raids DarkPony. City Of Heroes only had 8 man raids up until recently and they were always fun. I don't know why SWTOR couldn't havve something like this set up.

Though I do have a personal preference against dungeon style content in general, I am quite surprised by the results so far. You offer up a good point though, what we view as typcial raid functionality and progression, may not actually be what we should expect from TOR.
Interesting results so far.

I'm not in the least surprised. I think the people who actually enjoy raiding, the way that it is implemented now in games at any rate, is relatively few as compared to those who dislike it. I think the mmo company that comes up with a reliable way of keeping their customers playing that doesn't involve raids at max level will have a gold mine.
