Bha you guys complain too fucking much, there are a lot of ppl playing the game. CCP is one of the best companies out there. Is good that they're thinking about smaller groups and alliances since a lot of ppl is annoyed by bigger alliances hogging every single aspect on EVE.
I just have this feeling that there are a lot of senior CCP management with secret accounts in the Cayman Islands looking to cash out of the stresses of the game development scene in the next year or two.
I read this blog and its a great set of goals, even if they achieve half thats great progress (loving a lot of tte ideas!). Too much negativity flying about these forums these days by people with agendas wanting to whine and see things fail for the 'I told you so' factor.

I'll get excited about this the very instant even one of these features actually go live on TQ.
CCP have let us down with their "promise the world, deliver a disused parking lot" interviews once too often.
No, wait. 20 times too often. We've seen these grand plans before. No dount the guy you interviewed would like nothing better than to implement all these changes, but the sad fact is that the CCP management won't allocate the resources. If we actually see ONE of the features he's talking about, I'll be surprised.
They have no credit left. No one gives a shit about what they say any more. We're only interested in what they can actually do.
Deliver or GTFO.
a great example. Better to have great ideas and only deliver slightly than not deliver at all - have you seen the crap coming from every other mmorg developer in the industry at the mo?

Yeah no. We know that CCP can do way better than this because they have in the past.

what im saying is there are shit developers and good developers. Good developers being hampered by greedy cops is better than bad developers being hampered by greedy corps. Good developers listen to their customers but in either case, whining is not feedback.
examplle: I can imagine having a meeting with my customers and saying 'ok guys there are problems with our systems, this is what we are going to try and do' and some idiot declares 'deliver or GTFO' job done obviously.

it wasn't, something failed dramatically. Best way to progress is good dialogue to work out what the hell went wrong. Saying, your shit, ill GTFO unless you improve doesnt really address any core issues.

You seem to be under the impression that people haven't explained in specific detail. They have.
thats not what i said. Saying, your shit, I told you what the problem is, ill GTFO unless you improve doesnt really address any core issues does it, its just meaningless destructive time wasting noise.

It's kind of a bad state for a game developer to be in when the few people who play their game doesn't beleive anything they say.
That's because CCP has gone from being a good company to being a bad game company. With all the crap they have pulled on the player base in the last year is it any wonder that they are becoming the next SOE.
Easy use station interface /Probable Devs working on it.
Balance Issues relating to Cruisers and Frigates / Fix Planned
Balance Issues between the races /Crosses Fingers
More Casual Content /Seems they are catering a bit to newer players
Lag / Still working on it.
PTW Micro Transactions. /None yet.
I will definately resub for this expansion if it does what they say.
Sad part is I have heard them bluster so much and deliver 20% of what they said they would with a promise to reiderate Soon TM (Faction Warfare, Epic Arcs, Lvl 6 Missions).
Seems they set resonable goals so come december I will probby check it out because they managed to tick off everyone of my issues.
Personally, I loved the game. I just dont have time for a second job and that is really what Eve is. You cant just log in for 20 minutes and do anything. After the first clone jump of the day, it takes forever to get anywhere and do anything.
"Sean (Murray) saying MP will be in the game is not remotely close to evidence that at the point of purchase people thought there was MP in the game." - SEANMCAD
It's kind of a bad state for a game developer to be in when the few people who play their game doesn't beleive anything they say.
its people like you who ruin the community of eve. you say that all the people who play the game dont believe what ccp say, this is utter rubbish, some say this not ALL, so stop saying all dont believe ccp. Now ive been playing eve for over 2 yeas and tbh ive seen it that it is the community that has been ruining this game not ccp.
Am I the only one that's thinking that this is something similar to what SOE said before the NGE for SWG?
And again, they're focusing on 0.0. FIX HIGH AND LOW SEC FIRST!!! Null Sec is not perfect, but it's exciting and players have a say in what happens. High and Low sec is dull and boring. Heck, even trying to gank someone is hard enough these days. Fix the content that new players see first and then you just might get new subs. It took me three tries to "get" EvE, which was play in Null Sec....at least until Incarna and the jump bridge limitations. It's nothing too crazy, just that I found it took too long to get to where I was going. Couple this with limited time to play and back to High Sec I go, which resulted in my keeping one account cancelled and the other fuelled by PLEX (which might run out any day unless I win some more money on Somer.net. ^_^). So I'm sitting in High Sec and....Zzzzzzzz....oh! Still here? So I do a few missions and Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....Huh? Wha? Oh, better head to Low Sec for some excitement! I start going around to different asteroid belts and.....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....Ugh, I have a print of my keyboard in my forehead. =P
This is what EvE has been like for me lately. If you're in Null Sec and have the time to play? Rock on! Everyone else (unless you're a griefer who uses ingame rules to mess with others.....not against it, I'm just not that good at it) pretty much suffers from a snooze fest.
Again, fix high and low sec, and you just might see new people. Bad enough the learnng curve is crazy but you're boring us to tears!
I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, EVE is the least new player friendly game on the market. High-sec is in need of a total revamp in how it works. This is where CCP needs to make an impression on new players and as it stands right now it fails miserably. The current mission system is boring and after a few missions you soon learn that there is maybe a dozen missions and all you do is repeat the same missions over and over again - no matter what mission agent you accept a mission from. They really need to have some people create some new content in this area of the game.
This is where Incarna could have been used to expand game play - missioning. They could have done so much with Incarna and now we know what Incarna was produced for - not for increasing game play - but to sell more items on their MT.
Good points Teala, missioning is extremely boring at the moment, but le'ts drop the MT whining, until they add things that effect gameplay the shop does not effect those that do not use it.
They need to weaken cap only fleets, the winner should never be determined by who has more capital ships, but rather who has the more balanced fleet.

Well after they add things affecting gameplay it will be kinda too late to complain.
CCP has failed, and failed completely. They've had eight years to get it right, folks..they know EVE is dying so their going to milk that pay-to-win for all its worth before they shutter the game. CCP will be cranking out sub-par FPS's and other console crap until they run out of money, which won't take long. Enjoy your mafia wars in space for the brief time it has left, kids, and just hope that somebody comes along and does it right next time.
I think it's pretty sad that the EVE developers have decided to gimp their own game by making Incarna nothing more than a "side-game." They have said repeatedly that they want to make EVE a "science fiction simulator," but that mode of thought runs completely counter to that stated goal.
Are they purposely gimping EVE for DUST? I don't see the point...
It's sad to see that Incarna will always be the useless bastard child of EVE Online. I don't see the point of it anymore, I don't see the point of even playing EVE anymore. I was hyped for Incarna, I was hoping it would completely change the game into something wonderful.
Ah, well at least I know my own MMO will blow EVE out of the water some day.

Funny you should say that just when the number of people actually logging in is declining quite rapidly.

It's hard to credit what we were offered with Incarna as "good developer" material.

I liked incarna's station gameplay, and I love watching the door, but something new will be good. What about a gate?
Whoever fears death, dies everyday. Who doesn't, dies only once.
tthats very true, and needs to be addressed. As for post above, being a smart arse achieves nothing.
