World of Warcraft: Warlock Tier 13 Armor Preview

SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

Blizzard has posted a preview of the Tier 13 armor for Warlocks in World of Warcraft. In addition, the team has posted a "visual guide to Warlock armors from Tier 1-12".

A set with the flavor of the Old Gods about it - General Vezax from the Ulduar raid was a reference point. Any warlock tier is a great opportunity to bring a dark and warped aesthetic to player gear and this set was especially ripe for the treatment.

Blizzard's art team painted themselves into a corner back at the end of BC with regards to cool looking tier sets. Every thing since has been pretty lackluster. I guess that just makes transmogrification all that better of a new feature for the next major patch.

Christ.. They put in less and less effort every time.

Wny do they need to bother putting any effort in . I think they've realised whatever they do people with continue to play WoW .  Its a bit like paying for the privilage of someone repeatedly kicking you in the nether regions .

Exactly this ^^. Gotta make transmogrification have a purpose. New armors can't look too cool or else why would someone bother getting an older set lmao.

sad but true, every single one of my friends, will not leave wow for swtor nor gw2, without doing any research, because, wow is the best and they will suck. it could be because they got their hands burned with jumping to WAR back then.

If someone believes wow is the best and will never leave they're just sheltered. That's a pretty view even if you've had less than satisfactory experiences in the past.

lol... tiered armor. Yet another dangling carrot for the lemmings to internet shop over and lust after. If you are playing WoW & older than 16... then ask yourself why?

I dont believe tha BC sets and these are done by same ppl, it becomes realy clear that Blizzard moved their best ppl to work on new project some time ago already.

Oooh, time to get my dinner ready and hop on by the official WoW forums. The tears and QQ will be my dessert.

Rainbow colors! Personally I just don't think these outfits are particularly new or intimidating, they're basically just the same fluffy, impractical designs we've seen in past tier sets. But if you need the stats, I guess there isn't much of an alternative.

Agree no matter the armors shittie look,iv never played game that have so many items and each of em with diff stats and shit.No matter tha graphics with cataclysm dx11 and new water each year they put little into graphics.

This is ugly as hell. I saw the warrior one which is actually pretty cool looking, but this... this is pathetic.

WoW is the McD's of MMOs. Quick, cheap, and you know exactly what you're going to get every time.

Sadly, a lot of MMO players have developed an appetite for cheeseburgers rather than steak...

Tier 2 Warlock / Tier 2 Paladin armor back from classic still stick out in my mind as the two coolest looking sets ever in WoW.  I don't play anymore though, never will again, too many other good games finally coming out.

T12 came out like a month ago, and now we're already raiding Deathwing?

    What's next?

No where near over-the-top enough! Where are all the flaming/glowing skulls, and serpent-heads!?! Not enough spikes! And... and... more flames, and glowing bits! yaeh, thats the ticket!

We fight his animated headless body.

    Decapitation was merely a setback.

Just seems odd that we're basically not even a full year into Cataclysm, and we're already at the tail end of the patch.  Though Icecrown was implemented into WoW about a full year before Cataclysm launched, Blizzard had at least announced the next expansion.  As of right now, we have no idea what the next expansion is going to be.  This leads me to believe that Blizzard has a few more content patches in the bag before the next expansion or that we'll be hearing an announcement for a new expansion soon.

I think what's more newsworthy is that anyone cares - WoW is an old, broken record that plays some song grandpa likes over and over and over and...

Like always, super super awesome:) Everything best comes from WOW and wow is Alpha and Omega in MMO world. Some games would wish to have number of active members like one of  WOW realms have at any time per day. I cant even enter in my EU realm -OUTLAND because it is always full.If you don't believe that try to see, it is free to level 20 so try to make character on WOW EU -Outland server. Stormwind and Ogrimar are full with players. Even World pvp started to rage again

Indeed! Some games would wish to have low population realms all over too.

You're playing on one of the high pop realms? Oh so that's where some folks are fleeing to.

  • palulalulapalulalula Member UncommonPosts: 651

Ah well, i have characters on Burning Blade, Tarren Mill and some others, ant this realms are full to. Strange you said something like that. Do you even played this game ever or you are just  jealous :)

  • palulalulapalulalula Member UncommonPosts: 651

You find only 5 low populated realms from 100 or more, well like i said some of games could only wish to have 100 full servers and some  5 low populated. Ahhh sec is out there any game with 100 of servers???!!! Again well hmm... ok enjoy playing
