Is the same for all armour stats base game, vg, lotr, eq, rift, sweet :tor, gw2 etc...
all will use their own tier base armour and weapons to lure players again and again
and most of them players are older than 16,

    Surprise???

Man t13 ...  I remember trying to get those Tier 3 goodies, I didn't even realise stuff was tiered up till then.  Anyway On Topic:

Warlock armor needs to consist of black, purple and grey tones! !

Yes some blue, dark green OR dark red elements can be added, but not a cheerfull combo like this :/  Makes this former undead lock very sad :(

    Currently playing: Skyrim, SWTOR
Looking forward to: Guildwars 2 ! modestly excited for: The Secret World
Have played intensely: Rift, Eve, AoC, WoW, Conquer 2.0, Astonia 3
Have played less intensely: just about everything else

When did Blizzard hire in Lady Gaga to help with the costume design?

I think the reason no effort is going into WoW is because Blizzard doesn't realy care if #'s rise or fall.

In the near future you will see a post that sounds something like this.

"We would like to thank all our dedicated fans for the time and money they have spent on WoW but the time has come for our team to focus on bigger better projects, that's why we will be bring down WoW servers so that we can devote all our resources and efforts toward the future of Blizzard online gameing"

WoW will be dead sooner than you think, with GW2 and SW picking up speed, they have no choice but  to kill the dead horse named WoW and see if they can play catch-up with "Titan".

    It's common sense really.

That is like killing the goose that lays golden eggs because you are too lazy to go down the street to KFC...

It is more likely that they keep moving their best employees to other project while still keeping Wow alive as long as they earn money on it.

I would love to see Morhaime explain to the stockholders that he closed down Wow for "future projects" when it still is the MMO that earns most money of them all.

  • UzlebUzleb Member Posts: 162

the longer they mess with wow, the farther they fall behind, and the more cred they loose for being just one of those companies that cares more about the money then the player.

the work on armor tiers speaks for itself.

also, what do you think the stockholders would say when millions of their income generating players decided to move to the competition and blizzard is still sitting with a dead horse.

Just seems odd that we're basically not even a full year into Cataclysm, and we're already at the tail end of the patch.  Though Icecrown was implemented into WoW about a full year before Cataclysm launched, Blizzard had at least announced the next expansion.  As of right now, we have no idea what the next expansion is going to be.  This leads me to believe that Blizzard has a few more content patches in the bag before the next expansion or that we'll be hearing an announcement for a new expansion soon.

They need to diverge attention from SWTOR and GW2, its pretty damn obvious.

Last year there was nothning to compete agaisnt WoW, this year there is

Because its the best mmo out there ?

Maybe Daoc 2 can beat it for me.

The release date of DaoC 2 is still somewhat unclear, I am not sure when pigs actually can fly...

But best is a rather personal view and "proving" something is best is pointless.

so its like 7 tiers and instead of better looking armor they've been putting in less and less effort, just look at tier 6!

tbh one of the best warlock sets ever did they fire their whole artdesign team?

We need a MMORPG Cataclysm asap, finish the dark age of MMORPGS now!

Blizzard knows it's players are getting tired of the same song and dance, and the only thing they know how to do is try to throw content at them faster to keep them distracted... of course one of the main reasons people are getting tired is because they keep getting thrown the same old rehashed content and item grind.

That was my thought too. I can't believe they are up to Tier 13...

WoW just needs to be put to rest already...

:) myself I'm still in love with Tier 5 for warlock and priest. I've been trying to dig up who the current art team is and who were the ones who worked on TBC ( <3 ) content.

Bet you think Pandas are gonna be the best thing ever too :) . All joking aside  I have a real life friend age 30 who thinks if some sort of drunken Panda monk is the next playable class that it will be the coolest thing ever . Before you ask shes not ugly ,nor is she stupid ,nor is she fat or a noob gamer  or imature. Shes just out and out addicted to WoW and try as I might she wont play any other mmo so I'm ashamed to say I end up going back now and then . What can I say the flesh is week ;).Luckily I don't have a Warlock .But according to her you'll be able to wair some sort of cosmetic armor soon ? so if thats the case you don't need to wair this anyway .

Really sad when the original game had better artwork.  Blizzard needs to find those people and rehire them, the current crop sucks!

  • heartlessheartless Member UncommonPosts: 4,993

If WoW had a drunken panda monk as a playable class, I would resub ASAP.

All jokes aside, the game is 6 years old. There is only so much the art department can do with the current models and I'm not exactly sure what you guys expect them to do. They have to create artwork for outdated models, which were probably created way before most of the artists/designers graduated. They also have to stay within a certain theme.

If anyone of you has ever created a skin for any character in any video game, you'd know how hard it is to make the character look good while looking what you want it to look like and at the same time following the developer's format.

In all honesty though, I would love to play as a Pandaren Brewmaster. It was my favorite class in Warcraft 3.

Where Blizz went wrong with Tier Armor in my opinion is when they started to want to Theme the tier armor to whatever raid it dropped from, i think that holds back the artists in making baddass gear.

pretty amazing they are this far along on tier armor though, its cool people are still happy playing a game they have enjoyed for a long time instead of  being bitter and hateful.

i personally have played for nearly 6 yrs now and finally just got bored of all gaming in general.  no its not wow's fault since i play all types of games on the pc and consoles, just tired of gaming i guess or just need a long break.

Gold, green and purple? That's not hate, it is basic fashion sense.

I dare you to dress in those colors IRL to see peoples reactions...

I think the problem is more that you should be able to choose your own colors on the gear. It is not hard to implement.

Tier 13 and they still can't make proper fitting shoes for the Undead models!

We like to play MMOs because real people aren't as interesting, real exercise and fighting hurts, and virtual females are attractive.
