None on black list. SOE is the closest, but that's more of a matter that I don't care for their business style.
I will put specific games on my "won't consider playing" list, but that's about it.

I love these threads because if you read all the posts you will see pretty much every MMO company named. It just goes to show that no company is immune from hate, and I guarantee that after TOR comes out Bioware will have its share too =P
I'd concur that alot will eventually get mentioned, but when there are certain companies that get mentioned every single, damn time? There's something wrong or you can bury your head in the sand and pretend everything is just fine.
"I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." (First Lieutenant Clifton B. Cates, US Marine Corps, Soissons, 19 July 1918)
if i have to black list a game company id blacklist most or maybe all of them... because none of them have made a game near perfection lol..... theres always a great game taht lacks something important... or a crap game that has that extra feature missing in some "AAA" games.....
so i just dont have to blacklist nobody... i play what i like and delete what i dont like.... tho one that is at the brink of self blacklisting on my computer is SOE and everyone knows why...
There's always a chance that a company will be restructured.
Never say never.
LOL, glad I never adopted that attitude with SOE

Sony is the only company on my blacklist. They have horrid customer service and after they told me I'd be out all the money I've spent on them if I quit them, I immediately canceled all accounts and wont buy anything with a Sony tag on it. Even my friends followed my lead as they saw what had happened. Instead of looking at the money they'd lose from my patronage , they thought it best to remind me how much I'd lose. I didn't lose much and will save many dimes not giving them another one.
I'm not stupid enough to blacklist a company. Times change, directions change, people change, and games change. I'll play a great game no matter who puts it out, the same way that I won't play a game that sucks just because I like the studio who made it.
Cryptic is the biggest one on my list. As far as companies like bioware go, I still enjoy their games, however they seem to get that "rushed" feeling (DA2 anyone?), I think the latest model of release a game, and put out several editions with "cash shops" or "special items" that cost extra real money is insane. Whatever happened to releasing an expansion pack with everything in it? Stop releasing half finished games for full price and expecting us to pay for the rest! Even dragon age origins had an ADVERTISEMENT for downloadable content...IN GAME. No joke.
I like to keep an open mind with every company, but I will not blindly buy a game without doing extensive research on it. The exeption to this rule for me will be the next SC games.

True and false. Why? Launches, especially in the mmorpg market, are super hyped and you only have leaked info and previous experience. So, it really becomes wait and see versus benefit of the doubt on whether or not you'll try it. Long term play is another story altogether.
Personally, I have a black list that's been earned by companies that have steadily gotten worse in multiple areas and proved to care about nothing except money. So far, only two companies have started well and gone so wrong as to earn a spot on my list.
List:
Blizavision
FUncom
I will not under any circumstances play their games for repeated offenses. You could offer me a job doing nothing but playing their games and I'd decline. You could give me their games and lifetime subs for free, I'd decline. It would take nothing short of a miracle to change my mind on these two companies.
[edit] I should have SoE on there I guess, but I don't because I never bought their games in the first place. Also, I find it funny that most of the other people who say FUncom state AoC was the reason. I guess they never had to see what they did to AO and how they lied constantly and launched expansions with "sell point" features not in them. They weren't added til months later. They didn't have to see how the only thing that took longer than the realease of Duke Nukem was the engine upgrade for AO. Which, is still in the works... Lastly, if you played AO, you would know the reason I capitalize the U in FUncom. It's how we gave them a new slogan. FUncom: We put the F U in fun.[/edit]
If a game looks interesting and gets good reviews, I'll try it. If I enjoy it, I will continue to play it.
Unless a company has been found to actively participate in some sort of atrociously immoral, unhumane behavior, I couldn't care less who develops the game I'm currently playing. Are there companies I'm wary of? Sure. But that doesn't mean they are incapable of producing a quality game. No naive blacklisting here.
Wow so many jaded gamers. I have been around from the beginning and tried or played games made by them all and would still not hesitate to try a new mmo from any of them. After all these are only games and the money I gave them would have been wasted on numerous other frivolous things anyways.
Not trying to single you out, bud, but your leniency is exactly why some publishers and developers continue to do the shitty things that they do. When gamers, they very people that they are screwing over, refuse to take them to task, why should their behaviour ever improve? We promote it but accepting it.
I have no illusions that my shunning of certain companies makes a whit of difference to them, but there remain many others out there who operate in a way that I find reasonable and acceptable. I'll give them my support instead.
I started to post the exact same thing, but you already said it. By giving them money again, you only support their way of doing things. To them, only the vote of your wallet counts. If you want it to stop, you have to make a stand somewhere. I drew my line a couple of years ago, and I'm not crossing it.

I don't mind you pointing me out at all. We just have a very different opinion I guess, cheers.

Though I wouldn't say I blacklisted them completely, I tend to lose interest in a title if I hear either Cryptic or Gpotato are behind a particular game. Both have slimy marketing practices in my opinion (Gpotato games actually have a lot of fun F2P titles in them, but they all have an insanely overpriced necessary cash shop to play their games). Both have poor CS. Cryptic I feel makes rather generic games that I don't find very fun. My perception of the companies could change though, so I won't completely write off any titles they produce.
SoE because of that one debacle with the CC, made me have to do credit checks/change Credit cards and put watches on things. So they are on my blacklist for now
and CCP- Before anyone decries it's not the cash shop. It's their practice with EvE they basically allow you to get screwed over by people by saying well those years you spent in our game? yeah you lost that becuase you trusted the wrong person. oops well thats what you get for doing that, we are in the other persons corner. I don't like this practice and if it appers in WoDo as much as i like vampires and those types of games i won't play it.
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.
Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.
I don't have a blacklist as such but certanly afew things to point out on the bigger companies. SOE, Bliz, EA, Funcom etc all have points of which I could state which are bad but it's nothing no one has heard before. WoW being dumbed down, SOE with station cash, LoTR f2p etc etc you get the idea but I won't blacklist any company which have a half decent game which despite the obvious flaws of being dumbed down and greedy etc at the base most of them are good games. EQ2, AoC etc.
I will definately stear clear of any f2p asian grinder companies IGG, Aeria, GPtoato etc. No content, auto leveling, auto navigation, get stuff for just logging in and stay logged in etc which is sad to say some of the bigger companies are slowly headed in that direction.

No game company is on my "black list" i take it game by game. Sometimes ya hit sometimes ya miss.
The following statement is false
The previous statement is true
I agree, i dont hold grudges nobody perfect not even in gaming .
that would have been [somewhat-maybe-little bit-not sure] true for me if they had never cancelled The Agency lol......

Blizzard...nuff said
G-Potato
Never again. Never.
Cheers!
MMO Vet since AOL Neverwinter Nights circa 1992. My MMO beat up your MMO. =S

It is not stupid to fight against poor business practices. Enabling it only encourages it.
SOE
Any company that makes pay to win MMOs.
Any company owned by EA.
I will not play a game with a cash shop ever again. A dev job should be to make the game better not make me pay so it sucks less.

NCSOFT (not ArenaNet)
Aion is the WORST experience i've ever had playing a MMO, and i've been playing MMO's since EQ1.

Square-Enix - we dont need 20 FF games /year, i love FF but this is too much oh and FFXIV fiasco
Blizzard- D3 no lan , ah .....!·!$!$ U...... WoW (cataclysm sucks) , being greedy .....
SoE - obvious
Cryptic - Death touch!
Turbine - Well , for 1 i love that i can play DDO and Lotro f2p , but lying to customers in the face.......... ><
EA- sigh......
Only two for me
SoE because of that one debacle with the CC, made me have to do credit checks/change Credit cards and put watches on things. So they are on my blacklist for now
