Eve Playable from Asia?

I have been considering trying to get into Eve again. However, I am moving to Asia for work in the next few months and was wondering if it is playable from Asia.

Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls.

    The Serenity  server is in China

    Yeah, the Chinese Server is Serenity, but with a little creative use of proxies you might be able to connect to tranquality.

    Bearing in mind that Asia is one hell of a big place!

    China, Pakistan, Korea, Thailand are all in Asia and quite honestly - your performance will vary depending on how that country routes its traffic. It might be OK - but then again, you might have a 500ms ping to the TQ server, which will indeed slow things down cos it could very well take half a second or MORE for data to get to the servers and vice versa.

    Right now, at 0730 AM in the morning, from Thailand - I get a 250ms ping on a residential broadband connection. I'd guess that it could very well double with contention.

    For a game like Eve agent missions might be OK - but jumping into places like Jita could very well be another thing altogether.
