#1 I can go right now and see two different tier sets for hunter class both called Tier 12 explain that one if it's not from 10 man/25 man.  Item level 378 and 391 both called Flamewalker's Battlegear one from heroic one from regular. So you are saying they changed it because it was the END of the expansion. Guess what, they'll make it separated again when the next expansion comes out, IT'S WHAT THEY DO.

#2 They did just add those crafting items i missed it somehow because i didn't see that this was one of the changes they made to 4.3.0 HOWEVER they added that as well just because it was the announced end of the expansion and still proves my point. When the next expansion comes out, guess what, they will have even less to craft and you STILL have to run dungeons out the butt to get the orbs you need to make a whole set which equals yet another badge system imo. Finally, they still have Engineering Fail which is the only crafting worth it imo since engineers should have had the clear advantage especially Goblin engineers! One gun doesn't really make a difference.

#3 Explain how i can still see Valor points on every database website for current level gear but they somehow removed these huh? Is it removed only in PTR. Got news for you this too is only temporary as this is the end of the cata expansion AND it is also NOT LIVE which is what my comment was based on the current installed playable by everyone with a sub game.

nothing to laugh at, 1% does rule all the money and has all the power. On topic in a video game it shouldnt matter what percentage of the player base has seen all of firelands, wow still caters to everyone.

actually that is not true, at least it wasnt before they lost 900 subs in a single month. now, tho, the marine biologist and his croanies might be running around in a panic before SWTOR and GW2 comes out because they know they will lose LOTS more unless they do something instead of sitting around drinking martinis in their offices talking about which chick they banged the other night. but i'm not bitter or anything LOL

lol hey dip shit you can get heroic gear from both 10 and 25 all loot is equal in both all depends on what  setting the difficulty is at 10hm and 35hm are all the same loot and tokens, and you said badges and valor points they way it works now is pretty different form when badges were in.

So basically this is a topic complaining about how the should make raiding even easier so the 4 year olds can join in.

  • Cameo3Cameo3 Member Posts: 219

I remember being a part of Bankers United (an oligarchy of 4 smaller guilds) and our sole purpose was to rule the wow economy. Control the AH, you control the server. That was our mentality, worked extremely well on a lot of servers in WOTLK. When Firelands came out and I started experiencing that 5 levels of schit...I quit wow.

But, to farm mats and eternals and everything to have the ability to control an AH...where people had no idea you automatically undercut them or rebought them if your auctioneer addon modifications made the color yellow compared to green/grey. (Yellow means buy it with a simple modifier the guild uses per server.)

So all in all I suppose there *Could be* that 1% in game...but even us controlling the AH we weren't exactly that "1%."

After we controlled the AH of course we were the ones that caused linen cloth stacks to be sold for 5g each where a month prior to the server they were selling at 50s each lol...just for an example.

    Well then.

Blizzard employs what...a thousand people? Ten thousand people? Certainly less than 110,000 thousand people. They rule Azeroth and there is a 0% chance that someone who is playing will become part of that ruling class. Blizzard not only influence the laws, they make them. That seems like a much better analogy than the whole raiding thing.

Even if 1% of the population finishes most of the raids, the barrier to entry for those raids drops on a regular basis. There is a non-zero chance that most people will at least experience the raids. But more importantly, there is no way for the 1.35% who have done the content to make systemic changes that will prevent everyone else from completing the content. They can't pay lawmakers to do anything.

Am I doing it right? I know there's no sense of moral outrage here but I can't really come up with any.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

if you are still playing wow there is something wrong with you, haven't you had enough by now or does blizzards black magic still have a hold on you?

Games used to be played by these rules, but they are changing now.

Raiders are the smallest demo yet devs spend more than half their time designing content for them. Raids have a place in games but imo they shouldn't end up being the forefront or pinnacle anymore, because it tends to get people into a mindset of "I have to hurry up and level to get to the best stuff".

If you look at games coming out now, they are moving away from this formula where 20, 30 40 man raids are in-games. The problems guilds have just keeping up those amount of players interested is a problem in itself. Anyone still basing models on this is dooming their game in the future.

I think what Blizzard is doing is keeping WoW this way on purpose, because outside of them there really isn't that many mmo companies still doing this because their populations have long left. Games doing more 10 man raids that went FTP is the norm to try and stay competitive.

I think Blizzard will give the "casual" or "light activity" player more choices in Titan by design. I have a feeling that game is being designed right now to make the majority of the content nothing to have to do with raiding or dungeons, while still giving the hardcore raiders a spot. I tend to think that the WoW base is more of the 'guinea pigs' in a way for Titan as they see where most people spend their time and where they don't.

If Blizz said only 1.35% finished Firelands, you can believe that means they know they spent tons of time on content that an overwhelming majority never say or will NEVER see, which is wasteful resources. Look for Titan to be the reverse of that.. probably the biggest themepark with lots of things for the common gamer ever found.

    we call this skillgap.

the 98.65% likes to whine for nerfs instead of trying to get better so the gap widens.

It's also possible that the larger percentage have jobs and children and lives that don't allow them to rinse and repeat until they succeed on raid A or instance B or whatever.  Raiding takes as much TIME as it does skill.  You can debate me on that all you want, but I've been in a ranked large raid guild and I know how much TIME we spent on our successes at first.

Don't forget last year's blizzcon they said that the firelands content was designed to help the "tweens" be "Raid-ready." Whatever the heck that means...but if you think of it, "raid-ready" doesn't mean raiding perchance..it more means getting the gear to be able to raid.

I'm all for OWS and people taking a stand. I'm also for the stock market crashing and eventually getting replaced with something.

If you look at the pathetic "in place" rules to the stock market (which should be illegal...) there are 3 shutdown periods before the eventual crash. All marketed by certain point losses. Which is why I think big names are getting together behind closed doors and whispering to each other for a time to sell because if they trigger these retarded "Check points" all hell will break lose before they can sell and have real not liquified cash.

But then again I see OWS as a tool for the greater good.

I'm for it too and busy with it on my days off here in Kansas City.  We have Occupy KC.  But I know if I get going on political stuff outside of the political forum I'll end up with a warning, so.....*zips lips* (or fingers).  But I'm still able to laugh and I think that's what the intention of this thread was.  I don't know....guess we'd have to ask the OP who has vanished since the 14th of the month, so....but he did make comments about Cataclysm being hard, so.... /shrug  Guess he was serious.

All i'm saying is that i've seen so much absurdity which was meant to be taken seriously i thought this was one of those topics. But now some people mentioned it was sarcastic i can see how it could be, though the OP seems to have added very little input to his own topic making it hard to know whether it actually was or not.
