    D) people who feel the obsessive need for their chosen game to be the ultimate game at everything and for everyone.

You know, the people who mention and advertise their favorite game in almost every single post of theirs if it's even remotely related to the topic at hand. Though they've been known to let not even that stop them.

    E) People who believe that Ultima Online was the only good game that ever existed, and that SW:ToR will take all MMORPG further away from the 'Ideal MMORPG'.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

Not sure it's really any of that.  It's mostly just a combination of people that:

    -don't like BW.

    -have been predicting SWTOR's failure.

-Wanted SWG pre NGE 2.0 or some kind of sandbox game.

-hipsters that like to bash anything with mainstream popularity.

-GW2 fans with sports team mentalities that for some reason seem to think that the 2 games are in some kind of competition.

    vs.

-People who want a new game and hope it's good.

-SWTOR fans with sports team mentalities that for some reason seem to think that the 2 games are in some kind of competition.

Wouldn't that fall under Choice B? I'm assuming you mean they play that game, right?

    6) BW, they're the ones with their balls on the line.

Think they'll do pretty well, but come release it's still brown trousers time.

Even though i voted that it's mostly in fear of TOR taking subs away from other chosen games, it seems as well, that it also could be that, people are just obsessed with trying to tear down something that doesn't fit into their tightly knit idea of what a mmorpg actually consists of in their mind. It's like their mad at not being able to sit at the developers table and order the game to be made with only themselves in mind.

Ah, I interpreted B as just someone being perfectly content with their chosen game but sad that various guild-mates are planning to leave come december.

I wouldn't say those people fear SWToR. They just fear underpopulation in their own game, SWToR just happens to be a possible cause of that.

But yeah, if what I said is what you mean with B then I'll go with that :P.

Edit: They also don't have to play the game. Fans of upcoming games are also included. Probably even the biggest sub-group as those playing are likely too busy playing to seriously fear SWToR.

I don't get the argument.  A game is a game.  I personally love the Fable series, I do not get angry that some Modern Warfare crap steels potential customers from it, because at the end of the day they are two different markets.  A lot of sandbox (I use this term very loosely since it has no real meaning) gamers complain about WOW.  A WOW player will not want to play a sandbox. just as a Hen party will not want to go to a titty bar.

    To simply:

Who is more worried about SWTOR launch?

Not talking about individuals on a case by case basis.

Again, isn't that basically Choice B? If people leave that game, they fear they'll have less people, which is what I'm suggesting the basis of their fear is about it.
