Was listening to NPR who was doing an interview with his biographer and he mentioned that Steve Jobs was adopted. (which I didn't know) That in itself wasn't particularly noteworthy to me but how it came to be.
Turns out Steve Jobs' biological parents were a Syrian man and a white Catholic woman, both students who conceived Job's on a trip to the Middle East (Syria I think) and she later became pregnant with Jobs. The woman's father was immensely strictly Catholic and threatened to disown Job's mother if she didn't give him up for adoption.
She reluctantly gave Job's up for adoption. He eventually wound up with his current father/mother (of Job's name) and the rest as they say is history.
So the part to think about is: If Steve Job's mother/father had not had pre-martial sex, then given him up for adoption.. there would be no Apple today because he wouldn't have existed, and all the things that drove Job's to be successful (his feeling of abandonment was mentioned at age 6) wouldn't be present.
Really quite interesting when you think about all the things regarding this. Because Job's biological parents had nookie... we have the Ipad.
So, to all you college students out there: please stop using rubbers and protection. Thank you.

that's one of those paradoxical issues that no one knows for sure. There's just so many issues that comes into play to know for certain in Apple would have existed without Steve Jobs, so many nuances. One example is other developers could have risen if Steve Jobs was not born in response to Microsoft's growth and ideas. Others could have keep on trying to ideas of the PC that Steve Jobs "took out" through competition, etc.
It's almost the same lines that pro life people say about abortion; we could have killed the person who developed the cure for cancer. Well, based on that logic, we could have killed the person who launched nuclear missiles that took out our planet.
Just too many paths involved.

You just gave me a reason to go full religious fanatic and protest against pre-marital sex.
On a more serious note i'd second what Annah said
Fere libenter homines id quod volunt credunt.
Among those who dislike oppression are many who like to oppress.
