Why does WoeW's inclusion of Pandas rate so many threads?

ElderRatElderRat Member CommonPosts: 899

And yes, I do understand this counts as one.  It isn't about the Panda playable race tho.  It is more about why does everyone have to create their version of a thread on every single issue?  Really people, WoW is just a game... no need for all the hate or claims of hate that are going on on this and a lot of issues with every mmo.  Anytime  someone has a complaint about a game they are a hater, and yet the hate mostly seems to come from the fans of the game. Just an observation from reading the threads here.

Currently bored with MMO's.

I apologize for the typo in the title - Wow not WoeW, again sorry about that.

Eh? Almost invariably the hate is coming from people who haven't played in ages. You'll see plenty of "I quit and my 50 inbred cousins quit too, so there!" posts, but the vast majority of hate comes from people who just like hating on WoW. The forums with people who actually play the game are mostly positive about it.

I seemed to have miscommunicated, not referring to the hate from the fans about pandas, but, rather, the hate from fans of any game for the merest complaint against the game they so love.

What I highlighted is what I think also. Isnt it odd how people cant let go? Its not just former WOW player either. It happens to about any MMO. Just look at how long the so called "SWG vets" have held onto their hatred for SOE after all these years. Its odd, but interesting.

Really? This game sucks and Im not having fun? Im going to unsub right now. Thanks for the tip.

If Blizzard announced that their new class was some sort of Treant, Centaur, or even humanoids made out of stone, there would be so much less hate.

The Panda / Panda-land, IMO, is a classless reach towards the Asian market.

This should've released as a big patch. I feel it lacks flare to be considered their next big expansion reveal.

WoW is already losing subscriptions. There was a big read here on MMORPG about a month ago about it. This is the time to think outside the box. It's obvious that the same old same old isn't going to cut it - especially now that the same old is so... cute.

I don't know, but I for one am getting sick and tired of MMORPGs obviously selective game coverage.

Yeah, WoW is big, sure.  But any time they make some stupid announcement the home page is plastered with info for weeks.  Many other MMOs have a lot going on and barely get touched on.  Massively is shaping up to be a significantly better site to keep up with online gaming.

That's exactly what these greedy companies want you to do. After getting screwed, just let it go. But as a paying consumer, if they mess with me, I'd make sure that they will not get the chance to do it to someone else. This is why we imprison criminals, to prevent them from commiting the same crime. And that's why I'll continue to remind others on how a company's greedy decision flushed my investments down the toilet, for the hope that these bastards will not do the same thing to others.

For you, it's just a game, no big deal -- you are their ideal customer.

But those like me, an MMO is an investment of both time and money, and to see everything I did for the time* I spent in the game all of a sudden disappears, is not acceptable. That's why the folk who'd played SWG are angry and that's why I, a former WoW player, am also angry.

If you don't understand that, perhaps you will never will.

    ====================

*time - the time I spent in game is not just the time spent playing, rather meeting people, who no longer play the game for the very same reason. Those times are also gone down the toilet. Thank you very much Blizzard for choosing greed over anything else. And as you can see, they are doing it again by dumbing the Talents even further.

    Ready for GW2!!!

Massively is basically a GW2 fan site. Also they cover mostly f2p trash games.

Do you actually read the front page of this site? There are like 10 articles there from a very wide range of mmorpgs.

I dislike dark chocolate, and I'm here to tell you how bad it is! Never eat it. Do not support the manufacturers of dark chocolate! If someone on the street gives you some dark chocolate, throw it on the GROUND

Also, I didn't realize Blizzard had the ability to extract memories and time itself. This is an affront to ex-WoW players everwhere! Slap. In. The. Face.

Your correct. Posting your thoughts on a game is one thing, carrying a burning hatred for years over something  as trivial as a video game IS something I will never understand.  I play a game and have fun. When I no longer find the game fun, or they make changes I dont like,  I move on.  Players dont own anything ingame, we merely rent playtime.

Really? This game sucks and Im not having fun? Im going to unsub right now. Thanks for the tip.
