If they knew beforehand and released a product that was pretty much guaranteed to become unplayable long before you completed the game -- do they owe the PS3 people anything? IE are they at all liable for damages (other than to their reputation?)
I am just trying to figure this out from a legal point of view...
Do they owe the PS3 community a refund, or the option for a free PC version? More?
Or is there no guarantee any version of the game will be playable and they are well within their rights to release a game that will fail within 30 hours of play in a 300 hour game?
----
I can just picture them in some room discussing -- should we release this game that we havent been able to fix with the other ones and try to get a fix out before the heat gets too extreme(or between gold and release if we are lucky), or should we delay the PS3 release for a few weeks after the the other platform releases? And someone saying -- lets roll the dice and hopefully the problem will go away.

Console fail? or user error?
I know a lot of people who play it ps3, no real issues.

Don't you know that people are incapable of making errors? Only machines can do that.
Now use that big beautiful brain of yours and switch the words around to understand the joke.

As the final arbiter of all things funny, I thereby conclude that not a single one of posters in this thread was even remotely funny.

Can you tell us why the PS3 version is a fail? Haven't played it yet and thought about purchasing it for my bro for ps3.
That was some necroreply.
Well -- Especially before 1.2 if you have played for a significant amount of time, the game gets choppier and less stable the bigger the save file gets -- until you have to restart the system every half an hour to kind of play.
Bathesda THINKS they will have it solved for the 1.4 patch. I am not holding my breath but it will be a good thing if they do.
As it stands now, if you have access to either of the other 2 platforms, you are better off playing the game there.

In essence some people start having trouble as early as 6 mb. Many people start having trouble at 8mb. Some people have severe trouble by 11mb. Many people have severe trouble by 14mb.
There have been videos posted of side-by-sides of people playing with a 10mb file and a 3mb file and all the frame outs and etc.
---
The question was if anything was owed if they knew...
What I was hoping for was a free exchange to any other system -- that didnt happen of course.
Time will tell if we get a free DLC or something but I am not holding my breath there either.
I take it you like dissapointing yourself by hoping for things that will never happen?

I understand your anger but please, PLEASE dont tell people to get it for the xbox thats just silly, if your having problems on the ps3 expect the same twice fold on the xbox. Im not making this up I have alot of friends on the xbox who bought this game and are having BIG problems. I took the safe route, the PC route.
