For all those thinking of getting faster internet speed to down load the beta with.
As of 5:30 AM EST monday 11/21/2011, best speeds I could get was:
Avg speed: 6.32MB/s
Peak speed: 6.35MB/s
So save some money and do not go overboard and get to high a speed package from your IP vendor.

That's about the same as I'm getting with my 100 Mbs service. Seems quick enough to me.
I recived the email this morning and the whole download took 1h-15 mins,it's completely done.
Half a gajillion people downloading gigabytes at a time...yeah, wonder why it might be slow. How odd.

No you will only patch if you were in the 11/11 beta weekend.Otherwise ya you will need to DL the whole client.

Im wondering why didnt they make it like WoW/GW you know ? For examply you MUST have like 6-7 gigs which are the core, and then download different zones and etc. Cuz 27 gigs is just pain ih the ass with my 700 kb/s download speed
Yeah it is but you have 4 days so you will be fine. I downloaded this at 500Kb/s so i am sure you can too;)

I only have 10/1Mbps ADSL here and it downloads on 80% of maximum for me (~800kpbs). Feels like it takes forever, but I'm a patiend man... *wish optic fibre would be available in my town*

I think the access beat the e-mail in this case, wouldn't be surprised if you get an e-mail in a couple of hours letting you know that you got in and a direct link to it.

Well I was in the 11/11 weekend and I just hit the client now and need to download 13gigs....not sure if patching or re-downloading the client
No..that is the patch..the actual game client is about 20-30Gs.
Edit: correction my total client is 36Gs :P

Well nothing wrong with the download speed for me personally, 11mb p/s. But now the game is finished, and I can't press play! I want to press play. LET ME PRESS IT.
I was in the last beta...but i'm unable to patch.Should I be concerned ?
ANSWER
I found out my account had an invitation that had to be accepted..and 5 security questions made with answers BEFORE I could download the patch.(btw..i never got an email alerting me...so if your waiting...go check your account
www.swtor.com/tester goes straight to the test invite etc
