Star Wars: the Old Republic gameplay on Ideapad

I got to beta test like so many other people on November 25th through the 28th, the last beta event for Star Wars: the Old Republic.  In that time I didnt grind to hard but I ended up close to level 20 with an Imperial Agent(the class I choose).

There is quite a bit of criticism out there, I have to say though that this game leans more towards being the new golden standard for all mmos to follow, at least thats what I felt while playing it, suttle not in your face when I say that though.  Its not ahead of its time yet it fits nicely where it lays more like.  I enjoyed my time very much so In "the Old Republic" and recommend anyone buy it.

I made a video on how it runs on my Lenodo Ideapad Y460 which can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_aJyfaOK-0&feature=channel_video_title.

have Ideapad Y560 but had performance issues at 1680x1050.

In story instances it was good but in flashpoints and group instances it was very laggy. Was some time ago... Can't watch the video, it's blocked because of the music.

So is the performance good with your system?

O yea, Bioware did one helva job optimising there game, I never noticed any slow downs to speak of in the entire massive game, and I explored 4 planets to there fullest.  Even in pvp where there was alot of action going on, it did well, I was pleased indeed, I had everything maxed besides AA, which was left off by default, cant have it all.

Yea it seems Germany gets blocked if you use just about any song, only Germany, strange. If your having frames issues and needing more, I do a few things especially when im playing competitivly.  Use AMD GPU Tools to overclock your card, use gamebooster, I also use HWmonitor to watch temperatues when ever I turn on my laptop basically for anything demanding, fraps is nice also you can always see your FPS in game.

You sounded like a kid at christmas with your excitement about the game fella image

Can't say i'm as excited about the game as you are but it does seem like something i could enjoy for a few months, an acheivement in itself seeing as mmorpg.com has been my only consistent mmo in years lol.

There is the GEMA in Germany. They take taxes for public broadcast. Thanks for the info.

    Gema, sounds interesting.

Yea I had a good time to say the least in beta, there was only 2-3 servers that I could even log into came friday when beta started, I didnt log in till a few hours after it started cause I was loving warhammer:wrath of heroes so much, but they were all full cept a few, I chose Skylor or something to that effect.

First half hour I spend customising my binds and graphics and making a character, then I ventured out onto the home planet or starting planet of the imperial agent, Hutta.  The imperial agent story is really great, I killed so many innocent people through out my story I had almost reached tear 2, which is -2000 points to the darkside at around level 20.

I made my way through 3 heroic quests, the game flowed very well and suffice to say I was happy to be logging back in when Id come back from a break.

I played so furiously I didnt have much time to even find anything I didnt like what so ever in the weekend I played so I cant really give much feedback that is constructive besides the game rocks.
