Truly awful customer support

I have no idea where they drahhed this shower form but frankly the support so far is awful.

I have been unable to preload the game as after I entered my preorder code it seemed to accept it howeber it doesnt show up in my code history nor is the pre load option available. I thought it might have been a bad code so contacted the support. After been stonewalled at every turn, 14 emails later i was no further forward so i went back to Game Uk who within 2 minutes of me calling them gave me another pre order code. I try this and i get an error 'You already have the game and items associated with this Product Registration Code' which oibviously shows its my account thats the problem not the code.

I have since tried the telephone numbers on the support site well aware i will probably be in a huge queue however i just get a dead line signal. I dont even know what the UK number is supposed to be , is it 0800 0246 9274?? Can someone confirm what number im meant to ring as whats written below means nothing to me.

For calls originating from countries not listed above, please call the following number: +442035642555 *

Not really bothered about early access , what bothers me more is when i enter my actual game code , the same thing happens as i have no faith in these idiots.

You have three different numbers in this post.

That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!

    Call this: 0800 0246 9273

With regards to +800 0246 9273 (+8000 BIOWARE), allow me to explain.

The + is used to replace the international dialling code. As you're in the UK, you don't need to worry about that, and simply replace it with a '0'.

The part in brackets (+8000 BIOWARE) has the + again, the 8000 is part of the number (an STD (Standard Trunk Dialling) in the same way that 01223 is the code for calling Cambridge). The rest is made up of the letters that you'd press on a conventional telephone keypad, with 'B' being on the number 2 key, 'I' being on the 4 key, 'O' on the 6 key etc.

    080002469273

    Would be my guess

Thanks for the suggesitons guys tried them al and the only number that works os the 0203 number which is chargeable and just get a message saying call back later anyway. Theres got to be an 0800 fre number.

You said the store gave you a new code. That new code shouldnt be registered in any way in a new account. That should work.

A quick Google search shows that you're far from alone. This is happening to a lot of UK people.

According to Bioware, there is no UK number, but there is one in Ireland (the 00800 0246 9273 number) but this is actually an invalid number at the moment.

Sorry mate, but it looks as though being patient is all you can do right now :/

I expect they're also rather busy dealing with angry idiots complaining about not getting pre-order access yet. It's not excuseable that you're having problems with your account flagging, but don't let this experience be your overriding opinion of SWTOR support. It may well not be the case post launch.

    Glad you got it sorted.

I have exactly the same problem! Now I'm trying it your way, getting a new key and account.

But, the customer support seems horrible.  I've emailed them many, many times, still with no luck.

Someone reads the mail, ok, I'm happy, they say they will issue new key, and next mail is from automated robot ..... and this cycle goes on and on with me explaining the issue again, and again ... derp.

Wow, you try calling your local cable company here and you get an automated message telling you to go onto the internet and try one of their fixes online (of course you aren't able to get online and they know that).  Then after about 20 minutes of elevator music you get a technician who basically makes you do what you've tried for the past half hour before even calling them.  It's always a problem on your end, not theirs and they go out of their way to steer you in that direction every time.  Eventually you get them to commit to sending a guy out to check the line.  He shows up a day after the service is back online again and tells you the line seems fine.

You have far better faith in customer support than most people I know.  Just getting someone on the phone that speaks english that isn't in a call center in India is a miracle these days.

You're not kidding. I can't even log into my account. Even after changing the password I can't log in. Never had this problem before. Without being able to log in to my account I can't play the game.
