Did Zavvi Screw Me Over?

After a lot of consideration, I ended up buying SWTOR, from Zavvi.com.

When I ordered the game on Saturday, it listed that it came with Early Access, and a colour crystal for my lightsaber/blaster.

I phoned them this morning, to get a jump on the early acces code, only to be told that the cut-off for Early Access was the 15th ie. If you don't put your early access code into the website by the 15th you lose the ability to play early.

 

So 2 questions:

1) Is this bullshit?

2) Is the crystal tied into the early access code, or can I still get that?

 

If the answer is no to the 2nd question, then Zavvi can have their game back, and I'll buy it somewhere else after christmas.

1 is not true. They are still doing early access codes and you can get in if you preorder still. Although early acces ends tonight.

A lot of retailers ran out of codes though, I'm guessing this site did also.

As far as the color crystal, yeah it's tied to early access, but the thing is the color crystal has stats and the preorder one is only +4 stam. It will get replaced quite early. I have used 3 other color crystal with better stats already, and the black on is sitting in my bank. It does look cool, but there are other black ones later on.

Hmmmm, that's what I thought.

I doubt I'll be receiving the game tomorrow, probably wednesday at the earliest, so that should also give me time to check out some reviews.

I only paid the price I paid because I wanted early access.  I have plenty of other games to tide me over for a couple of weeks until the price starts dropping, so if I am going to miss out on all the promised pre-order bonuses, then Zavvi can take their order and shove it up their arse.

Yeah it's BS.  I bought it this past Saturday from Origin and got early access like 30 minutes after I submitted my code.

I could barely convince myself to pay £34 for it, let alone £45.

Also, you can't buy from Origin any more for some reason, it says it's sold out.
