Is not exactly uncommon in the ohh so friendly game called World of warcraft to help prevent that getting money to upgrade gear faster is one way, lets face it not everyone can go grind dungeons for hours/days to be ok geared for 1-2 levels then suck again, sort of take the "fun" out of the game.

Today on my wow server it is even worse, even if you have the money finding the needed materials for enchants for example can be frustrating since there are none to buy or it costs 100g per 1 item :(

Why are you playing a game if you dont have the time to play it? Just because you can't properly prioritize doesn't mean the game should suffer for it.

And why is Devil's Advocate going on about RMT again so soon? Is MMORPG.com trying to convince people that RMT is ok? Are they considering putting ads for RMT "companies" on the site or something?

In this day and age why should I care about you, your game's future, or anything other than my immediate fun and gratification.

    And again bunk.
Says absolutely nothing about the person in the game. Nor in RL. Justify to who? you? Why would i care to justify anything to you?
You narrow minded folks should stop to think a bit. If getting gold or items from people for RL cash is "cheating" then the same goes for getting them from friends and guildies in a game. Same results just different methods to the ends.
Ever gotten an item or gold or even just some help from a higher lvl freind or guildy? Would you say you cheated then? Hmm?

If it is against the terms of service to take in game gold and sell it to someone else for real world cash, then it's 'cheating'. If it is against the terms of service to buy in game gold for real world cash, then it's 'cheating'. The player is breaking the rules in order to gain an advantage. That's the only justification needed to call it 'cheating'.

Why do gold sellers deserve to sell the gold? Why do they deserve to profit off of the work of developers? They didn't write the games they are using. They aren't really playing the games, they are botting, account hacking or using forced labor to generate their in game supplies. What justification is there for allowing them to do this? Everyone wants to focus on the 'rights of the players', but it's not a one sided issue.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

If you had read some of my other posts, you would understand my point better. I say it is the Dev's fault, and their problem to fix.

I would much prefer the dev's to get the profit for their work on making the games. If they would get their heads out of the sand, they would see that this is an issue in EVERY game that uses in-game gold and items.

The ONLY way that it will ever be "fixed" is to know that from the start, and take steps to make sure that they (the games dev's) put in a legit way for people to get what they want.

Because, people that can make money filling the needs and wants of others, will find ways to do it if they, the dev's, do not.

My other issue is the assumptions that anyone that uses RMT is somehow a "bad" person in RL.  You or anyone else can say it is cheating all you like:P i really do not care. Nor do i agree.  So ya BUNK.

Duping is cheating, buying gold or items from other players is not. Same thing happens if i ask a friend to go farm me an item or gold. A player had to do that with their in-game time. One, someone got some RL cash for, the other just helped a friend.
