I'm not saying the two games are alike, but it's hard to not notice they have the same basic layout (sans PVP). Examples are:
Steets and streetsigns, which is the same as EVE's systems and stargates (both having a built in GPS/autopilot)
Character customization (appearance wise) that doesn't affect gameplay
Real time skill learning
Each "area" having special characteristics (certain trees, more of a certain rock, etc) like EVE's own sections of space
A mostly player run economy, with the switch of removing all vendors in the next couple of months for a player run one
I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but am I the only one who thinks Tiny Speck is using EVE as a source of inspiration?

Yup, the owner of Tiny Speck himself has compared the game to EVE so it's no coincidence...
