Alright, so GW2 is now in Super-Closed Beta, the classes have been finalized, and what they do is pretty much settled. So now, its time to pass the time by thinking up cool class combos to dominate your foes on the battlefield.
What combinations of classes are you most interested in doing? The dynamic skill system looks amazing, and I am really curious to see what some people think is going to be a really good combo.
Personally, I think an elementalist/warrior combo is going to be pretty nice, depending on the environment. If an ele/war is in the mountains, and some ice golems attack, the elementalist can lay down a fire wall for the warrior to blow at his enemies, or the elementalist could light the sword on fire, giving the warrior fire damage added ontop of the attacks. Each element could be combined with the warriors attacks/defenses against the weakness of the enemy.

You know that you cant make class combos in GW2 like you did in GW?
GW2 has single classes.

Im thinking he meant that an ele and war running together
The truth may be puzzling. It may take some work to grapple with. It may be counterintuitive. It may contradict deeply held prejudices. It may not be consonant with what we desperately want to be true. But our preferences do not determine what's true.

Am I the only one who thinks this thread is going to be full of pointless speculations?
To clarify, the OP is referring to cross profession combinations in combat.
I think it would be cool to see what kind of abilities work with AoE cloaking. I think one of the examples stated was a smoke bomb laid out by a thief that could be expanded by a stomp from a Warrior? I think this has a lot of potential for tactical gameplay in PvP, as well as great support to allies in dynamic events.
I dig making necro minions poisonous
And pushing walls of fire at the enemies might be just the ticket in WvW keep sieges!
"Pointless speculation" is precisely the purpose of threads such as these because, you know, many fans find that kind of stuff fun. If you don't, no harm done; you don't have to participate in the conversation.
I'm really looking forward to the Elementalist/whomever is near combo. I think it's going to be a lot of fun.
I think it'll be interesting to see what a Guardian and Mesmer can do together, especially in pvp. Toss in an ele for good measure, and you have a trio that can harrass the hell out of an enemy force.
As opposed to pointless trolling threads?
Here, how about the pointless speculation of why every fantasy art, game AND book cover has to have a chainmail bikini on a female who happens to look like she hasn't had a decent meal, ever?
Any ways, from my play experience, Guardian and Thief/Warrior. Hammer and Anvil, baby!

YES, you got me, I was totally trolling... Thread full of "hey, I think X+Y cross-class skill combination will be cool!" is totally worthy and has great educational value. Of course not as much as "let's count to 10.000" thread...
Not jumping on fanboi bandwagon here is considered capital offence... Riiiight.
2 Warrior combo ^_^
I'm just looking forward to finding my niche with every class, that's what really gets me excited about GW2. I just want to jump in there and find out what all the cool stuff is.
This is not a game.
