So are we allowed to dislike the game in this subforum?... or will comments like "Even if it had 5.000.000 subs I would still find it boring and generic" still get us banned for a week?

Well i hate the game i think its a total waste of the Star Wars IP and without the IP the game would be nothing.. I have no idea how they spent so much developing this game lol

Even though I'm currently playing the game and enjoying it to some degree, I can agree in part with this. It wouldn't be the same if it weren't Star Wars.
I suspect the same could be said for WoW. I dont think the same game without the Warcraft IP behind it would've lasted nearly this long.
Everyone here has the privilege of expressing their own opinions. They also have the burden of taking responsibility for what they say.

Not true! Most of the millions of WOWs subscribers had no idea or learned about warcraft's lore through out the game.Especially outside the US. I am almost certain that at this time the majority of WOWs players still had no idea where WOW derives from. Lets face it WOW is famous for the mmo and not the books and board games....
But in Star Wars...we are talking about hundreds of millions around the globe that have at least seen the movies.So even if some of them are inexperienced as gamers..they can easily spot a grand IP wasted....
Since the advertising money is starting to dwindle yes you may dislike SWTOR publicly.

Lore and story are so overrated. For me it's only a nasty byproduct of the gameplay. Nice for those who like it but irrelevant for the people who couldn't care less about some cheesy story.

There is a "TOR SUX" thread made on this site every 3.639 hours with an average of 88 posts rehashing what the authors didn't like about TOR when they stopped playing it 3 weeks ago.
So, yeah, I'd say it's ok to voice your displeasure. But it is getting old.

You are allowed to dislike the game. You can even dislike the game whilst perusing this forum. I'm not sure what will happen however if you express such sentiments...

Always allowed to dislike a game. Always allowed to say you dislike it too. NOT allowed to tell lies about a game in order to make others dislike it too. Pretty simple I think. Truth OK. Lies NOT OK.
Oh yeah and the previous dude was right as well. You can tell us all you dislike it, but not constantly. That is against the rules, not to mention it will usually not turn out well with others.

You're perfectly fine saying you dislike a game, so long as you provide reasons why. Simply stating "this game sucks" over and over again without backing up with legitimate reasons why, will get your posts edited or deleted and if you do it enough your account suspended or banned.
Ooh I dunno, but if you ask really nicely I'll give you permission...
but I'm welcome to say I love this game!! over and over for no reason and no one would say a damn thing seems biased to me.

Well i'm assuming they have not sneaked in SOPA just yet or created a mind control zombie state ray, Even if God Almighty were to come from the heavens and bestow upon the Earth a game of such granduer that it would nullify every Mo going.I will still critique the game as i see fit but i never troll post as i see it as a waste of my time and fellow board members !!
whats a lie? whats the truth? we are talking opinions mostly.. i can say this games classes blow.. is that a lie? to me no it's not to you maybe it is.. also people state lies here all the time claiming numbers about population or box sales but its allowed to go on and on..

their forums their rules don't like it go form your own forums and then you can ban people for praising a game.
You are 100% correct, giving an opinion in that manner is not a lie at all. And as such is just fine. Saing that the classes blow because they only have one useful attack when in reality they each have well over 10 useful attacks is not ok though, that is a lie.
And yes exactly on the numbers issue, too many people on here feel they are justified in making up numbers and using them as facts to support thier arguments. If the numbers are not factual, then they are basing thier argument on lies...that is also not ok.
The only true numbers we have right now are the ones EA has publicly released in the past week or so. Not everyone likes those numbers though as they do not support thier viewpoints, so they find whatever numbers they can, from whatever source they can find them from that WILL support thier claims. Thats what we have here on these forums.
Anyone can find something to support whatever viewpoint they wish on any subject out there. All it takes is the effort to find the data and form an argument around its validity. It doesn't make it true though. Thats all I'm saying.

very true forums can be as biased as they want.. to bad it allows for so much misinformation.. luckily im done with this game for the time being I only kept posting here becase i was playing but as of last night I uninstalled so ill only be around to see if any significant changes are actually made to the game to warrant a retry..
oh one thing that does bother me is a person can bait/troll all they want if its in a positive manner towards the game even though baiting/trolling in anyway is against forum policy...

True, trolling is both ways though it seems not to be enforced that way.
if someone says "I love this game" its only a bait post to those who have just blind hatred for a game. you hate the game we get it now you can just leave these forums and go find a game you enjoy and discuss it on those subforums. i don't understand people like you honestly. there are plenty of games i dislike, i don't WASTE MY TIME on the WoW, DARKFALL or any game i dislike.
The point of an mmo is to make your own story.
