How I quit - The return of the textbox!

MeridionMeridion Member UncommonPosts: 1,495

You know, usually I just click "cancel subscription", but this time, I just had to. I usually don't do "ragequit"-threads, but this time, I had to. Here's what I filled in under reasons->other->other

"Dear Bioware, you have chosen to charge my bank account 7 (seven) times (13,99€) and deliberately decided to only refund 5 times (13,99€. After 2 weeks). Additionally you picked the 17th of January as the billing date although I got the game for christmas (which, even here in europe, is on the 24th-26th Dec). So as a fellow math hater I do understand the message and will relief you of the burden to calculate on/with my SWTOR account any longer. You don't have to thank me. Good night" -> Cancel subscription

    Well that's just horrible

I think everyone here should just follow suit and cancel just to give you some support

Its hard going back to text boxes, but with TSW and GW2 with major VO it shouldn't be for too long, its worth it in my current mmo, (TERA) as it has the combat going for it, but i will miss the story, and characters. Maybe after the dust has settled and SWTOR matures you will come back to it, as i often do with mmos.

No hard feelings, there's lots and lots of single player goodness out ATM. Kingdoms of Amalur, The Darkness II, Mass Effect 3 on the way... I'm always subscribed to EvE, too, so I won't get bored... I had almost two months of 'ok'-entertainment for 60 buck (or 75 if they decide to keep my stolen money), that's fair.

To be even fairer, it even was kind of an single player experience, as the game never really rewarded me for grouping or guilding and contacts between storyline, grindquest and warzone were few and far between. It's not a very bitter goodbye, the billing issue just left me in a speechless state of indifferent "well you know, your game's not THAT good, kthxbai"...

Wow, wonder why they screwed up so bad on charging you? Gheesh. Glad they have't done that to me.

/goes online to check bank account

    1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.

    2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

    3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

Not as bad as when Square Enix charged me over £100 for a year of FFXI when i didnt play the game for more than 5 mins, (hated the UI, graphics, combat,) they did give it back which was nice, so I bought FFXIV...

    Outrageous!

Did you get in contact with their support to sort out their mistakes?

"Never argue with a fool; onlookers may not be able to tell the difference."

I need to take this advice more.

Of course, they refunded 5 times although they owe me 6 and didn't say a word about the wrong billing date... Only had something like that once with Warhammer Online where they billed me twice for the same month...

It's something that just mustn't happen *shrug* Speaks volumes about the state of their CS department.
