I never thought I'd actually say something like that, but I feel betrayed, and people need to understand fully what's going on as we approach release. ArenaNet are slipping things in which is making the game more and more like WoW.
I don't know why they're doing that.
I mean, that's appealing to the WoW crowd, and down that road lays madness and bankruptcy. And if they continue this way then they're going to end up with a flop on their hands, likely to the magnitude of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, or even worse.
So, two things have come up, that people need to know about.
1. The death penalty has become ridiculous.
Okay, so if you die, this happens...
1. You're downed, but every time you're downed after you lose 25% of your downed bar permanently until you're forced to 'die.' So, once you're downed you only get 75% of it next time, then 50%, then 25%, and after that you're forced to 'die.'
2. When you're forced to die, you have to pay a sum of gold to teleport to the nearest waypoint.
3. When you're forced to die, a piece of armour breaks.
4. When all your armour breaks, you have to pay again to repair all of your armour.
5. When the above death occurs, you have to pay for the teleport and for the armour repair.
In TOR, I think it is similar as to how the armor breaks. Only if you die about 6 times then you feel the pinch in your cash pocket, but it's not VERY noticiable.
So here they are making you pay for the teleport, it'll be bad if this sticks out like a thorn but it's just a small pinch then it should be fine.
I seriously don't know what the fuss is about with the game, personally I'm waiting for Archeage and Planetside 2, the fantasy aspect of themepark MMOs are getting really stale and a refresh on whats been done before even it's done in a bold new way isn't drawing really interest from me, people are excited yes, its being hyped way over the top, but haven't we seen this before with every single new AAA release, recent example TOR everyone was hyping the game to be the 2nd coming of christ on how story was going to change the industry forever, it didn't instead people are leaving in droves due to a lack of end game and being a broken mess. People realized after you hit cap the game is over , people seem to do this in every pre--release MMO so far with the same outcomes and then the complaints rise.
I see GW2 as nothing but the same ol same ol in a new skin but mixed in a different wrapping =pass

I ussually NEVER point this out but I'll put on my fangirl hat and ask....

"So, instead of the CO or GW1 approach, it feels a lot like WoW. Many journalists have said this." Who said this? That is one of the oddest statements I've read in the OP. Can someone provide a link to whoever said this?
I never thought I'd say it, but this is the dumbest thread I have EVER seen on this site. I, of course, am speaking primarily about the OP, not all of the responses, although some of them are ridiculous too.
Totally just laugh-worthy. If you can't fish any better than this....I wouldn't suggest being a fisherman. Try a new hobby, OP. Of course, you won't return to answer me, or anyone else. Probably somewhere else on the site throwin' out your line. Good luck.
Nah, Dreamchaser genuinely loves GW2. Granted, his own odd, semi-mystical, non-existing version of GW2, but he does.
I think he's just incredibly hurt that charr aren't the coolest race in the game anymore.

Actually the OP is/was one of GW2s most active informer/defender. Doubt he would just stay in disguise for such a long time and now start trolling GW2 fans. He probably just imagined something else and is dissapointed.

I don't care much for PVE but I do care for PVP and I would argue that WvWvW is Warcraft. Not world of warcraft, no pure warcraft as if someone looked at player vs player warcraft 3 and created a true multiplayer mmo around it. With large maps, destructible building, collecting of supplies, attacking suply chains and slowly capturing territory on a massive scale. It is as WoW should have been but never was.

You're doing it wrong
OP, you don't even know and that's all I'm going to say.

2 bananas is what it's all about
"1. You're downed, but every time you're downed after you lose 25% of your downed bar permanently until you're forced to 'die.'"
Get you'r facts right, it lasts for 1 minute, so you will need to die 4 times within a minute of eachother to get insta killed.
<rolls eyes>
<throws hands in the air>
<shakes head>
<laughs hysterically>
You want me to pay to play a game I already paid for???
Be afraid.....The dragons are HERE!

BOOYAKA!
Considering we're at page 23 and the op hasn't come back at all, I say it's most likely BS.

That is the most horse shit poll I've ever seen, and the results reflect that.

What did happen??? Dreamchased got hacked? Or is it any of his friends making a joke with his profile?
Its kinda weird to read a post of him with such tone.
