Nothing Special

I'm a long time Bliz fan but i've removed the beta from my HD. It feels like im playing an Iphone app not a 2012 computer game.

It feels dated to me and very faceroll .

I'll wait till the full version comes out and read the reviews after that before buying  it.

Hope others are enjoying it but it's not for me.

My 2 cents worth

Cheers.

Dear "Long Time Blizz-Fan" (aka "been playing WoW since TBC")

Calling Diablo 3 "faceroll" because you played the tutorial (if at all) is borderline retareded I'm very sorry. Did you judge starcraft 2 after the first solo-mission? Or WoW after Lv. 5? Thought so.

    Just my 2 cents.

OMG No!!!!!!!!!! someone showed an opinion on Blizz, and ack, added D3 to that......flame war commence.

It's called an opinion,  beware the shattering of your own opinion on something by someone else voicing theirs.

D3 won't be for everyone.  I loved D and D2 but have no desire at all to feed the Blizzard Beast, and haven't seen anything about D3 that makes me think it's anything more than a reskinned Farmville either. /shrug

Do you understand the term "opinion" and that everyone has one?

And how do you know he played wow since TBC? Is he a friend of yours? Did you play with him?

Look kids, I know that it's kinda cool to hate Blizzard but just blabbering about "iphone-app" and "faceroll" after playing half of the tutorial is not an opinion it's just idiotic banter and you all know it.

i dont hate blizzard, i loved vanilla and tbc wow, i loved D2 and i consider Blizz to be the top and i trully consider many guys here who truly think hating blizz is cool the term idiot applies to them...

But the op has an opinion, he expressed HIS opinion after playing the game, ok yes the tutorial, but if he got tired of it, it's his problem...what are you going to convince him that he likes the game?

and do you understand that even opinions have to be based on some argument or basic logic  to be worth even "2 cents"? This here is a forum for discussion and not reddit, so if you post crap here you should expect some talking back.

It's just that I played the beta myself this weekend and this game oozes production value. I don't know what kind of spoiled brat you have to be, to call this "iphone-app" quality. It captures the magic of the diablo-series perfectly and nobody who even remotely liked the series before will be dissapointed, i can guarantee you that. If you never liked Diablo, what's the point?

Aww did he hurt your feelings because he doesn't think blizzzard are the greatest game developement studio in the entire universe? Blizzard take way too long to develope their games and when they do release them they're not even that good, the marketing fools alot of folks though.

What really hurts me is stupidity. All this blind Blizzard bashing is so damn aggrevating it's not even funny anymore. It's like arguing with justin beaver-fans that miles davis is a better musician.

P.S. my comment was about this person starting 2 threads both saying D3 sucks...you are not really getting the point....and I do not know why I am wasting the time...

point: 1 thread would have been sufficient

no, it's because he can't be arsed to critisise properly. That kind of behaviour is expected from a kid, yes.

Wow this thread is getting filled up with Blizz hate...this started with a subject you guys know. try to stick to it.

My friend i agree with you, but come on, do you really expect ppl to share you opinions? Or even your logic? If he doesnt like it he just doesnt like it and it is his right. You on the other hand by insulting him, appear to be a fanboy. With no reason too, Blizz on average makes better games i agree with you, but so many don't like them too.

Dear guy who thinks he's a pro ;)

I've played WoW since Wave 2 trough Catalysm, Played D2 on ranked servers for about 3 years, and yeah D3 seems to be off.

It doesnt feel like Diablo, the combat mechanics are allmost a directy copy of WoW, builds are not focused any more(remeber the D2 builds? get 3-4 talents max and spend the majority of your points in one? it was called a spec for a reason back then).

D2 had the same basic combat as D1, only 2 buttons, keymapping for switching skills and no they didnt do it back then because "hotbars" were never tought off, they've designed the game for fast paced H&S combat, if you couldnt switch skill fast enough you would not be able to survive.

I've played D3 beta and it does feel odd, not saying its "bad" but it doest feel like diablo, it feels like WoW with an isometric view of the world.

The Blizzard credit, and the P2W RMAH doesnt makes this game any more apealing since blizzard them selves will be selling just about every thing on their own store eventually and players can buy any thing for "blizzard credits" AKA real money this game would become even worse than what happened when D2 and early WoW met ebay.

You still cant buy skills but from the look and feel of the game mecanics this game is much more gear oriented and will be crawling with blizzard sponsored gold and gear farmers with in 10 min of launch. And blizzard wont do squat against it they dont need too, they get a cut from each real money transaction and they endorce such behaivor them selves by selling stuff in their own store and allowing transfering of credits between diffrent blizzard titles.

get credits in D3/buy them from Blizzard, use them to buy WoW stuff like time and blizz store items, use it in SC2 for BNET 3.0 map store, or heck exchange it for real life money....

Yes Blizzard and Paypal just became the world's leading bank and payment gateway for IGNWOWYOUMEEGGOLDRUS.com :)

    1. I don't know how anyone could think that D3 plays like WoW. Four Hot-Buttons don't make WoW. It's exactly like Diablo always was - mouse-clicking, kiting, positioning, mass-battles, chugg a potion, blood and gore, hilarity ensues - I don't know what you guys played but the gameexperience and gamemechanics are nothing like wow. I'm of course talking about pure mechanics here because I can't say anything about the meat of the game because no one has seen it yet.

    2. The Diablo-Series is the epitome of loot games, the mother of all lootgames. Just buying loot will kill all the fun because the endgame is just about loot. If you just buy BIS-Items than the game is over. Who would want that?

    3. what gives you the idea that Blizzard will sell all the top-loot themselves? Do you think that they are stupid? All they will sell are vanity items as usual, the rest will be a player driven economy. I agree that Diablo 3 doesnt need this but you know as well as I that not doing it just means letting goldfarmers etc. make money with blizzards property. As long as there are idiots who buy virtual items that will never belong to them for real money, Blizzard would be stupid to just ignore that, like they did in Diablo 2 and WoW. It's perfectly reasonable to serve a market that is apparently there but Blizzard is hardly to blame for that. It's some "gamers" who think they can buy skill with money that are to blame.
