I think you should watch the move "Fanboys" from 2009, it is spot on.
Someone who defends something to no end,refusing to believe there are any faults in regards to the subject and refusing to listen to any sort of critiscism.
They believe the subject is perfection,anyone else who thinks otherwise be damned.
The Wild Fanboy: ignores Evidance and makes exaggerated claims towards their own titles.
They Also have a tendency to ignore any possiblity that another game could be successful.

There is more to it than that and a little more complicated. Many Star wars fanbois still hate Jar Jar.
Also, true fanbois have more or less encyclopedic knowledge of what they are fans of, Trekkies are a good example of fanbois. A Wow fanboi know stuff about Azeroth that no normal person should know.
The whole term is getting watered down on forums, anyone liking a game is not a fanboi, not even if they like it a lot.
Truth. There's more to fanbois than just really really really liking a game and defending it. Same as with the "haters" title, it's become watered down with overuse on game forums.

Haters and fanboys are cut from the same cloth. If you don't agree with them, then you are one of the following:
A. Ignorant and just don't understand the subject matter
B. Personally attacking them
C. an enemy
D. all of the above
I sit on a man's back, choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his lot by all possible means - except by getting off his back.
I think this is closer to what I believe. Just more or less a lack of objectivity, sometimes a willingness to ignore/distort/contradict plain sight factual evidence, and worst, confusing opinion for fact. I don't think it even requires any level of knowledge, just a blind devotion of sorts.
And it doesn't have to be limited to games (nVidia vs AMD, Yankees vs Dodgers, Coke vs Pepsi, etc)
It's not that our team is without fault or perfect, it's just that our team is so much ~better~ than anything else.

This is called a hater. Fanbois defend their games from them. Fanbois keep haters from trying to build their games playerbase on the grave of your game.
Sorry but a fanboy's defend just like this aswell. they tend to ignore any anti-________ evidance. while making exaggerated claims about how their game is gonna become godly.
Also they tend to ignore the possiblity that any game other than theirs will be successful.
IE, SWTOR Fan Boys keep saying that their beloved next patch is gonna make the game amazing. im still skeptical.

I disagree in this instant Bioware has done an alright job patching the game up, since the whole ilum thing at least.

im still skeptical, as to alot of the audiance. the whole Fool me Once point of view. and until i can wear my padawan gear to max level by giving it steady upgrades and not worring about the low Armor stat + on it, ill get some interest back.

People tend to label fanbois and haters as people that disagree with them. But ignoring evidence and taking things to the extreme are sure signs of either.
For example, If anyone claims SWToR is gaining in popularity, or will have over 3 million subs by the end of the year is probably a fanboi. there is some clear evidence that suggests this is not going to happen.
Anyone that thinks SWtoR will go f2p anytime soon or have less than 400k subs by year end is probably a hater. The game just isnt doing *that* bad and it has a strong enough base of people that genuinely enjoy it.
You can already do that....
If you mean end-game wise you'll be able too come 1.2.

No i cant, what i am wearing will never be equal until they remove the "All armor has built in stats along with the upgrades" this was added in the 3rd or 4th build that i played.

Fanboi: Ignores any negative points and over-inflates facts to such a huge degree that it achieves goals not possible at all for a game to ever achieve. Most often they will go in pointless rants and proceed to glory a game giving absolutely 0 facts and often times excessively repeat the same points over and over again.
They will often bash down a hater and blandly tell them they are wrong and talking out their... you know what.. and proceed to look down on them. Ironically enough though the haters are basically their exact duplicates on the 'dark side' so to speak, both providing identically useless 'information'.
I disagree. As I see it, you're talking about very dedicated fans, not fanboys. It's actually possible to have fun and informative discussions with such ones. Fanboys are quite the opposite.
Fanboys doesn't necessarily have that much info about a game, but will defend it no matter what. You cannot reason with them, or have any constructive debates, because they will never be able to see both sides of anything.
I tend to think that fanboi's are the fanatics and fans like the one you described - who can still point out faults - are just avid fans.
All 'fans' are fanatics. You know why? Because fan is short for fanatic. Where else do you think it came from? (Fancy isn't really on the drawing board here - Oxford and Webster approved!)
Apparently calling someone a fanatic wasn't insulting enough for the internet, so we use terms like fanboy and fangirl to imply that their zeal for a certain thing (in this case, MMOs) has some coorelation to the fact that they are immature kiddies. The truth is that both fan and fanboy are negative terms, and no one should ever strive to be a fan of anything.
Being a fanatic or 'fan' means uncritical devotion. Game developers may be flattered by the fact that they have fans raving about how good their game is, but what they all could use more of is rational, level-headed gamers who consistently give positive and negative feedback. You don't call them fans. I wouldn't even call them supporters either. Just gamers who aren't absolutely stupid, looking to help game devs help themselves.
If you can't explain the problems of the game you play just as easily as you can explain its features, acclaim, or praise, then you might just be a fan!

You people on this site are absolutely pathetic. Calling people who bash a game 'haters'? Really?

Get some perspective.
Two categories for me:
(1) Relentless and methodical: People who defend their game against every critical thread as if they are paid to do it.
(2) Hysterical: People who respond to every complaint about their game as if it is a personal insult against themselves, their family, their ethnic group, or their country.
I don't understand it because there are games that I have really been into, but if someone criticised the game, I just felt "whatever"or possibly, "that guy's wrong."
A cancer who buys whatever dogshit is served, eats it, then trys to make it cool so he doesnt look the fucking retarded fool he is.
You know fans can be critical of what they are passionate about. To just consider all fans to be a negative thing is just outright ludicrous. I suppose sports fans shouldn't be fanatical about their teams, or fans of any other activity be just as devoted or passionate.
As to your hater point I find it extreme in itself. Hate is such a strong disdain towards something that you wish ill will towards it. The examples you provided are perhaps some of the most extreme levels of hatred, but that does not dismiss lesser levels of hate. Some people on this site and many people on the internet truly due express their utter hatred of something as trivial as a video game. I'm not saying people who provide negative criticism are haters. However, the ones who truly wish to see the game and the devs rot, are what you can classify as haters.
I just wanted to point out that there is granularity to the two terms fan/hater.
I call fans "fanboi" if they are fanatics who do not react to rational arguments anymore or who make really absurd, obviously wrong statements about a game.
