World Boss worth it?

in Guild Wars 2
In TOR, the 8 man raid was somewhat worth it for me because it gave good consumable items. But I don't think World boos had any value since I was mainly interested in PVP.
Still thou, I would like to PVE in GW2 and go slay those dragons. So is there enough incentive for people to show up for them?

Slaying zee dragon should be incentive enough alone, but the amount of work people would go through for a chance of a new dye, gear design, titles and what not, you'd be amazed!

Maybe they expect the game-play to be the incentive? Seriously why does an item make it worth it, if the game-play (fun) doesn't?

From what I understand Gear isn't really a big thing. Cosmetics aside I'm not sure what would make it "worth it" for you? I try to avoid grinding whenever possible, so I will most likely do the world bosses once or twice depending on how cool the items are. After all scripted PVE is still scripted PVE. I'm mostly salivating at the idea of the WvWvW and rate pvp. Thinking of making a necro named Vagyna Slyme.

After seeing vid of the fight. i would say definatly worth it. seem so much fun.
