The characters look like Barbie and Ken doll, and the spell animations look pretty crappy/last-gen. I also have to say that not everything in TERA looks great, but when I fight, the weight and gravity of my movements is way different than when i play GW2. My sword seems heavy and then it leaves cracks in the ground. I think aesthetically, TERA is in a league of its own.

This is my biggest gripe with GW2, the effects are awful, theres no denying that, especially the fire lol.

All the attacks just feel powerless and stale, movements are jerky...it's not what I expected.

Hi there. I've thought the same before, how weird!

I like TERA because its combat feels hefty (animations, inertia), unlike other games where combat seems slippery and like wet noodles.

"But but but I can move around!!!!!" That's the problem right there. It looks lackluster and if you're swinging a heavy weapon, guess what? It doesn't look like you're swinging one. I thought we were past WoW's old ass combat by now.

It won't keep me from buying it though, I can look past such things.

Yeah it won't keep me from trying it either, at least it's not nearly as bad as SW:TOR...that's on a whole new level.

Most larger enemies your lightsaber isn't even touching them and even if it hits it feels like you are swinging at the air with a feather. That was enough to actually kill SW:TOR for me, i'll looks passed it for GW2 though...

...if they fix the retarded flames that engulf everything. Lol.

Don't worry, the ArenaNet devs have alraedy confirmed that they are going to fix the particle effects :).

Q: Will particles animations be reduced as mass skill usage in massive fights would be a maelstrom of confusion!

A: Our graphics programmers and tech art team are working on that issue right now! We're well aware of the effect soup that can happen in large fights and it's something we're going to do our best to address.

This isn't good thing to most people. People think it don't be like it is, but it do.

So you have spoken to most people then? I would bet that many players dont mind the typical MMO quest system.I also dont think it follows EQ quest system, its more like WOW system and EQ2 and LOTRO not EQ.
