I dont think you are talking about the same game... That or you have no idea what you are talking about.
I don't see ANYTHING about it being a browzer based game...
They're using this graphics engine which was used for many client based games...
Also what mini games?
I see
"with an innovative flash minigames concept."
From their site.
Yes that is confusing as I've never seen a flash mini game in an mmo really that I can think of...
Both this game, and Embers of Caerus, appear to have a lot of promise. Neither is anywhere close to release, unfortunately.
Still looking forward to LiF, though.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
I too wish to do manual labor while wearing a full suit of heavy armor.
"Best thing in the make", well you're entitled to your option but nothing in the video or site overly impresses me outside of the basic level terraforming. In my opinion ArcheAge is far more impressive but I welcome another indie title that focuses on freedom of play so best of luck to the team as the project reminds me a lot of WURM (or even Xsyon) though with better graphics and that's not a bad thing.
Thanks for posting about it, I'll definitely keep an eye on the project as it evolves.
Because flying a Minmatar ship is like going down a flight of stairs on an office chair while firing an Uzi.
What about "The repopulation" or "Otherland" or "ArcheAge"?
Seems like a lot of sand box games are being developed at last!
Looks like a clone of Minecraft with better graphics. Of course, alpha ia alpha, this could go anywhere.
Oderint, dum metuant.
I too feel the need to point out Minecraft is based off Wurm online, which was Notch's project prior to Minecraft.
This game looks A LOT like Wurm.
The terrain shaping looks a lot like the world editor in Torque.
Cool vid!
So they are giving you in game access (players) to development tools (constrution kits)?
Thats fantastic sounding to me.
This looks REALLY cool!
So did Xsyon, Darkfall, Mortal, and all the other indie MMO's that fell on their face.
That's what it looks like. Prefab building parts snap together. Terrain can be raised or lowered by filling in or digging. It wasn't shown, but I'd bet you can paint roads, gardens, etc.
None of them seem to be the theme i enjoy. but none the less im gonna keep a eye on a few of them.
For a while I was hopeful about Serf City: Life is Feudal sandbox MMO. Shame that it isn't.
LOL Coming Soon!
I have a next-gen sandbox, Minecraft + Sonic Ether's Unblieveable Shaders. /kidding
All seriousness, this reminds me a lot of MC. I'll keep it on my watch list.
Played - M59, EQOA, EQ, EQ2, PS, SWG[Favorite], DAoC, UO, RS, MXO, CoH/CoV, TR, FFXI, FoM, WoW, Eve, Rift, SWTOR, TSW.
Playing - PS2, AoW, GW2
"REQUIRES HARD DRIVE, CD-ROM DRIVE & MOUSE"
Haha - love it. Im surprised it doesn't say "REQUIRES ELECTRICITY" Strangely enough, I remember buying software that I actually had to look at those requirements to make sure I could run it back in the day.
I'm not creative enough to have a signature
Ware Is Vapor.
Certainly 'next-gen', though. Let's see it come through at least before the praise comes, though!
Seems to strictly be built around full loot pvp/guild combat, couldn't find anything on exploring dungeons and such. Crafting system is 'auto', or you play a mini-game to increase the odds of what you are doing or get a bonus. FFA pvp everywhere, minus the starter area....No elves and such, so probably you kill animals, no 'monsters'....Thats the quick view from reading the site.
Looks technically quite promising, but really boring.
Obviously, this is in a pre-alpha stage at the moment so they are still creating the game world/mechanics but it looks like a 2nd job to me
Cluck Cluck, Gibber Gibber, My Old Mans A Mushroom
Read the Interactive FAQ thread on their forum. Also lets remember this game isn't even in alpha stages yet...

It might be great for what it is....But I enjoy doing all aspect of a game, the forum confirms their is basically no PvE, except for killing animals probably for supplies... That takes a big chunk of the game out imo, I mean yeah I am tired of gear/badge grinding, tired of instances, but I like open world dungeon type stuff and such... I really like what I read, but it's like a MMO with no PvP,in comparison...Need meaningful PvE/PvP/Crafting/Harvesting and anything extra is cool...I think when you leave aspects out, you don't have something that meets it's full potential.
No fantasy races, monsters and such...keeping it 'real', but it has religious 'magic'? I don't think I would call this next gen, when it is missing one of the pillars of what makes mmos good. They talk about UO a lot in the forum, but UO had open world dungeons and exploring that uncovered things to fight...I guess it makes the budget go further, but I really think it will bite them in the end.
