Console RPG's

Recently I've been playing through some old console RPGs. It started with Legend of Legaia, which was OK, but really boring, and it took alot of willpower to get through. Now I'm playing Chrono Trigger, and have Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Xenosaga I, Vagrant Story, and Star Ocean qeued up. Can anyone reccomend some other hidden gems I should have a look at (no FF!). Can be for any console, no matter how old.

    Ultima VII and VII part 2, not on a console, but they can be downloaded for free:

    The majority of the series is available on this site, but these two were by far the best.

    Before I bought my first computer I spent much time with my Super Nintendo.
    Though its quite old I still love the game Terranigma, but Secret of Evermore and Secret of Mana are also nice ::::28::

    One of the best RPGs ive ever played was on PSX, it was called Lunar(might just be Luna) Silver Star Story. If you can find it definatly give it a try, its an amazing game.

    Believe it or not, Paper Mario on gamecube is actually lots of fun!!!  Don't let the kiddy graphics get to you.  Heck, anyone that plays Mario games for the gameplay and not the graphics will agree. :)

    SD, when you say "any console", do you just mean any old ones? And none of the new systems?

    Anyways, since this is on topic to the thread;

    I moved the PS2 and a TV into my room to get me into playing the console more than once a year (it's working!) but now I found out I have no games except San Andreas.

    Does anyone know a good PS2 RPG?

    I guess I should of specified more. Any console = any old console, and PS2.

    And PS2 RPG's = Shadow Hearts 1 and 2, Xenosaga 1 and 2, Suikoden 3, Disgaea, Front Mission 4

    KOTOR (Knights of the old republic) & KOTOR (Knights of the old republic) II, great console rpg's both have a very good story to them.

    It doesnt really matter if you have not played the first one but it may help, both have a huge choice of weapons,eq all of which you can make to your personal preference, i strongly suggest you play these two games even if your are not a star wars fan, i know i wasnt one but i love these games, rare to see a rpg game as good as either of these on a console.
