    Thats a great idea.  Something like a list when viewing the fourms that has said Current Users Browsing this thread: and the Staff are in bold so you can contact them directly through the mail service.

    Some major fourms such as Xbox.com, have a nice setup that shows when a user posted a message it has a dot by there username, if it is lighted up then the user is currently signed on, if it is not highlighted the user is currently offline.
