Ive played only since CBT 5 but ive played enough to say in my oppinion that this game is going to be my future bonbon. The only thing that scares me is the fact that they dont have any raids out yet nor did they mention adding some time soon, other than the 60 man Nexus. Seems to me that in OBT i amongst many others got to lvl 32 withen 12-18hrs, I fail to see how they will manage to keep ppl involved in the game with-out raids.Am i the only one thats wery about this or am i just paranoid?

I recall them saying they did not intend to add raids in, as large numbers of people on instanced combat just leads to "zerg fest" style game play.
Which I agree with that logic.
I saw some info about two new dungeons in the patch notes, as well as a server matching service. Sounds like they're working toward an instance model with a group finder.
Here's a link to the patch notes: http://tera.enmasse.com/news/patch-notes
Dungeons
Added two dungeons: Suryati's Peak (level 56) and Ascent of Saravash (level 48), each with a 6-hour cooldown timer.
Since these will be popular spots for players to congregate, we've increased the size of no-PvP zone near Suryati's Peak and Ascent of Saravash to suppress unsavory activity.
We found some "Old Treasure Chests" in Suryati's Peak. We think two bosses—Nemona and Garan—have been hoarding them for ages since they drop this item every time.
The rich and crazy get richer: Sinestral Manor and Cultists' Refuge have improved drop rates.
Temple of Balder has been added as a level 60 instance. Enter from Balder's Refuge in Southern Shara. It has a 2-hour cooldown timer in normal mode and 6 hours in hard mode.
Fane of Kaprima has been added as a level 60 instance. Enter from Mistmoor Island. It has a 2-hour cooldown timer in normal mode and 6 hours in hard mode.
Group finder / dungeon finder is already in the game, was in at open beta.
Yeah and those are not raids they are just regular instances.
Yes but probably more challenging than any raids other games have. Idk where people got the idea raid = end game. Just because WoW did it doesn't mean its a norm. I'm curious beside WoW and Rift what other game had raids o.o? I don't follow up on P2P game so idk.
As far as Tera raiding goes, they have said they are working on 10-20 man raids. However Tera raid doesn't exactly work like raids in other game due to well the combat is really different. Boss fights would require constant movement and with colision boxes more people you have = more chance you run in to each other. And for melee its way too easy to block each other and get people killed. Idk Tera raiding going to have to be very different from what people are used to but i can see it working just need lot more thought put in to it than what model is currently used.
I hope more MMORPGs steer clear of the "Raid or Die" model, because it's getting boring to play the same game over & over. Leave that to the WoW, Rift & SW:TOR generation of MMOs and allow this genre to progress.
Yes i perfectly agree with you guys im just saying im scared they wont be able to keep the player base without the raid or die feature.
Pretty much right now its dungeon or die =P but the dungeons are very challenging and people going to be spending lot of time mastering them. Although thing is i can't see PvE as longtivity for a game unless you make it in a grind. See why WoW PvE last so long? Coz its a grind, you can only do it once a week. which means you got to keep playing to get your loot. If you make it easy than once your fully geared pve has no meaning and its not possible to pump ou t like content at the rate people can go through them. I think Tera does it better, i want the content to be challenging not just tedious. WoW raid is tedious, it require you to throw in lots of time to do them, Tera end game dungeon (hard mode) aren't. You can do it with hard mode, cool down is only 6hrs, but its extremely challenging that you might wipe many time before having a successful run.
Like i said i don't mind seen raid in Tera, raid is interesting because well i mean come one playing large group is fun in its own right. But i hope they make it fun and challenging but not too tedious =X.
As for me i think pvp rule the end game. I mean come on, the combat work so well with pvp. Even PvE server player are going ot be dueling, DM, GvG (hope they get it soon) and battlegrounds. PvP to me makes thsi game stand above all other. I orginally planned on getting GW2 as well but the lvl or pvp in this game is to me so much better.
I know i'm going to get like flamed to death for this but i'll say it:
From what I see from guild war 2 is the lack of massive cooridnated battles. So they have WvWvW but you can't even see other person's name o.o so is it going to be everyone themselves? How do you work together if you can't tell whos who? I guess its fun like a gaint pvp pit but really lacks like organized big battles. (could be wrong my info is limited so do correct me)
And the arena seem to favor more of a indiviual play style. and again i'm not expert so going off what i know correct me please. http://www.teamquitter.com/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=27150 points out how when he playes arena the best way to play is to play for your own benfit, play to win which completely disregard teamwork or any team effort.
Also whats the point of PvE? i mean w/o progression once you cap does dungeons have a point? You run though them but if its only for fun you maybe do it few time and you never need to do them again. So while people say Tera lack raids for long lasting PvE at least there is some progression that can substain end game PvE. GW2 doesn't have any and it worries me.
Ok its a bit off topic but kinda relates to how well end game is like for the games, I mean so far i can only see PvP as any reason a game would be long lasting, and for any PvE centric game play to last it has to be a grind.
People are always complaining about Themeparks with raiding at the end for gear, can't have it both ways.
Tera has a different style of combat, and apparently end game. Sounds like a refreshing option for some to me.
Well you see if your game is based on geargrind (as it's Tera) of course people will want to gear more and more gear. At first instances then raids.
That was exactly the problem for KTERA. The endgame was lacking.
They had only 2 hardmode endgame dungeons at cap. Enmasse is already smart enought to have upgraded 3 low level dungeons to level 60 so we now have 5 total hardmode endgame dungeons.
I still wonder if that's enough to keep players in the long run.
But at least the first months will be enjoyable.
