You have to choose one for WvWvW PVP - this will be your homeworld.

After Beta you will have an option to create characters for "questing" on other servers (after initial choise) - but during the Beta phase you should really choose well.

As far as i understand you can change your Homeworld once every 7 days and it costs 1800Gems. You get 2000Gems in the Beta so you could waste them on a transfer - but why would you?

No, the opposite is true.  You will do all your PvE on your homeworld server. If you want to PvP in WvWvW you will be transfered to a dedicated server via a portal in your homeworld. These will be constant 2-week-long-on-going events that anyone can go in and out freely anytime.

Where are you getting your information?? You can pve on other servers via "guesting", which basically lets you pve with your friends on other servers. Your homeserver is tied to WvW, so you can only WvW representing your homeserver.

 I don't know where you got this, but it seems in contradiction with how Anet explained it.

For you RP types, it seems like Tarnished Coast (us) will be the un-official RP server.
