As it stands now the area chat, at least on the RP server, is night and day compared to CBT/OB. Actual adult conversations happen lol.
The "standard" four swing rotation that happens with melee classes if you hold the mouse button down does propel you forward. It happens in varying degrees since some classes have a slower swing, watch some level 1-8 videos and you'll notice it. You can also move slightly in a direction (wasd) while you are holding the attack button down. Think of it was a stutter step. This happens again at varying degrees with the Warrior travelling farther per four attack rotation.
I agree I think the game gets even better as it goes (and it starts strong). I was really impressed with the story/regular quests for levels like 31-33. Totally new environments and mobs, options to do group BAM quests (which are always there and always nice- sort of like a mini-dungeon where you just fight the bosses- really cool innovation in this game that doesn't get any credit). An underground labrynth and a prison camp where it's always raining. Some cool cutscenes for the story quests. And my character just keeps getting more and more fun to play.
And all that's just in like 2 or 3 mid-range levels that are often glossed over in many MMORPGS. Never bored. Never really experienced that much variety and fun in the PVE in the middle levels in any mmorpg.
The PVE doesn't get enough credit. The combat system does make it intrinsically more fun to do quests and whatnot, but the PVE itself is top notch. Never feels grindy or repetative. Basically a totally new environment every level or two. Top notch graphics and great animations that don't blow up my computer.
The combat system is great but it really isn't the only thing TERA has going for it.

Just not worth my time anymore.
