current hero engine supports only dx9...its getting dx11 upgrade soonish(tm)

It's been rumored to release sometime next year, good luck getting anything other than the DX9 version.  I've yet to see a good use of this engine and it's really starting to become apparent to me that it can't be the fault of every development house for it's poor performance, which makes me shudder at the potential disaster for using this cursed engine.

There have only been 2 games released on the Hero engine so far The Old Republic and Faxion Online which can hardly be taken as an example as it was a game made on practically made on no budget and made as quickly as possible. Your post makes it sound as though there are loads of other examples out there when there are none except from one fly by night attempt.

Warhammer Online also uses the Hero Engine.

      No, it uses Gamebryo.

This.  BioWare didn't exactly take advantage of the Hero Engine.

Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.

Heres a link to some screenshots, I think it looks better than swtor at least.

At least its not as cartoony as SWTOR... I blame the Clone Wars series

LOTRO updated their graphics after some time.  I see no reason why ESO couldn't add DX11 support when possible.

While those screens look a bit too cartoony, you can see some ES influence if you look closely.

I'm glad that they are going TPV with a hotbar and assumed tab-targetting system like I said they should.  I understand that the FPV and aimed attacks really helped make the feel of TES games, but they just don't work well in MMO's.  Luckily for us, developers recognized this.

First the fact that Bethesda isnt making it and now the fact it may use same crappy engine SWTOR uses...I guess it's no thanks from me!

That is rather fortunate fact because if Bethesda tried to make MMO same way they produce their bug riddled mess, there would be a good chance the game would never get past alpha cycle...

HERO engine is crappy? Oh, really? Would you share some technical details on that one, please?
