Free to Play to level 15
All i seen was the good Dr. sweating like he stole something. Everything looked as boring as all the rest.
Sorry. Not all games can be run away hits like SWG.
It would be nice if they could throw out updates, like this one, every 3 months. Ther HK addition makes me happy in da pants.
Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.
Keep dreaming. I bet 3/4 of that won't ever be released. The game is horrible and dieing and the server status shows that each and every day. Like i said, adding more boring crap on top of the existing boring crap will not save the game from the inevitable.
Rev up that hype, cause I'm sure ready for another "miracle" patch.
This shit will probably be out around december. You know, when everyone has already left
Here the trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hQriS6xIvY
I through they was out of money, staff and resources to make new content, I guess the game is dying after all, like everyone here on MMORPG believe. The trailer is a preview of some of the updates for this year, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6 and the expansion by the end of the year.
I didn't see anything there about the expansion, although it's probably a safe bet that the raise in the level cap will be part of it. All the clues up until now have led to the assumption the expansion is space based, shame they haven't shown any of that.
You have lofty hopes. So do they. I see none of these updates doing anything to save the game. It's finished...some folks just don't see it yet.
The new planet and the level cap, is the expansion, this is just a short preview of all the updates of the year, we will know more info in the incoming months.
An expansion would be a hell of a lot more than one planet. Its a patch.
IF A GAME DOESNT HAVE 10 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS IT IS OBVIOUSLY A BIG GIANT EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is known
LOL! A small levelcap increase and one planet! You call that an expansion? ehh right.
A new planet doesnt constitute an expansion. They'd have to go in a completely different direction than any of the current planets for it to do so. They are tiny.
Just shut it down already and move on.
and for a game that has been "failing" since it launched, i love how its all every1 talks about no matter where you go. i visit this site, g4tv and the elder scrolls site the most for my video game snooping around. ive come to the conclusion that morrowind fanatics belive morrowind is the only great game ever made and star wars galaxy fans believe the same[mod edit]. if i believed something was so bad i would never be going to that games site or youtube page to trash it, i just wouldnt care for it
Oh boy, I would be so disappointed if I was a SWTOR player. If that's the all planned content and features for the rest of the year SWTOR doesn't stand a chance.
I still follow the game because the flames are pretty...
Tiny is an understatement for some planets, but yeah.
However if they did make a planet sized planet it would raise a lot of former player's eyebrows, mine included.
The game will be f2p before the end of the year. biggest failure in mmo history.
I present to you: Vanguard, AoC, WAR
SWTOR is not in that class as desperately as some want it to be.
While I like to hear news of growth coming to a game...does anyone else here think this info today is a bit jumbled together and not thought out very well? As if they are scrambling and grasping for anything at this point to keep people from labeling it a "failure".
It's just odd to hear about a level cap increase so soon with no expansion announced. How does that figure into the whole class story aspect? I'd rather they keep the cap, drop half the useless abilities or combine them and just revamp the game by removing all invisible walls on each planet, redoing the engine so it can accomodate such changes and have more people in an area at a time, thereby making world PVP worth doing and more fun and add content and horizontal progression to the current game as a whole before extending the "end" of it with more of the same.
Maybe it's just a bad PR team and they are just not "getting" how MMO announcements should be done? Not like it's tough, if even games like Perfect World or Runes of Magic can make pretty good marketing ads for new content patches.
It's being repeated on their Twitter that they haven't announced anything about the expansion yet.
It's still running, and they "may" be expanding on it. ON top of that, far too many games didn't make it this far to call this the biggest failure, not to mention NGE, this doesn't come close to that.

Just want to say i told you so!! thanks!! that is all!
Mhmm.. Fix the game by piling more mundane trash on it. Innovation is just another marketing buzz word to these clowns.
True, but whats the ratio to (how much $ to produce game/ rate of declining subscribers).....I would say SWTOR is even with those three when looking at that ratio of success.....thus making it a flop.
