Hotfix 1.7.1.5 is live...

There is a new hotfix that should be downloadable in the next 6-24 hours. This will fix the Zeds superman vision as well as the player noise issue. Rocket doesn't seem to ever sleep. I've never been in any alpha or beta where the fixes came out with the speed he seems to be doing them. Hopefully he doesn't burn himself out. Patch notes follow (These may change or get added to before the patch goes live)...

* [FIXED] Raycasting being taken from wrong body position (ensured it is from eye level)

* [NEW] Infected bodies will despawn after 5 minutes of their death (improves performance)

* [FIXED] Melee weapon sounds non-existent/terrible (now has placeholder sounds)

 

Edit: All tents are getting wiped also so if you have one somewhere you may want to pack it up now. He's doing this to clear out the tent cities that are poping up all over due to the tent duping bug. Some of them are getting out of hand and are affecting server performance.

    I just have to say, THANK GOODNESS!

     

    The game was progressing so nicely up until 1.7.0.1

     

    The zombies going crazy is the main problem that is making the game not enjoyable.  Up until then, I thought zombie awareness and alertness was damn near perfect.  Just that the strength of zombies needed enhanced.  

     

    It really got out of hand fast.  Hopefully we can actually go back to playing the game, rather than running scared or proning for an hour to reach a city (If we were lucky).
