I must say my favorite aspect of the game is the ability system. I'm in love with knowing that if i dont like something all i have to do is put the effort in and create a new "deck" > I've always hated the concept of just having to remake a character to experiance something new, or simply having to pay to keep my name, etc.
After that is the crafting system. Even tho i will admit it took my some time to completly understand it .
I chose the Ability system but only because I had to pick ONE option. However the Questing, Ambiance, Setting, and Dungeons all lend itself to a very fun game.
In fact I spent all of about 30 minutes in Fusang and only did 1 Stonehenge battleground but even though they were fun I still have way more fun doing the quests, running the dungeons (Hell was a wonderful adventure lol) and building up my AP/SP to tinker with builds (loving my Pistol/Hammer Crit/Weakness/passive heal build alot). This game will keep me hooked for a very long time, this I see.

I really love the game, but if it's one thing that stands out to me, it's the ability system. It's going to keep me in the game for a long time while I try out basically all the build there are.
This game is such a breath of fresh air in the MMO space. Needed fresh air that is. It's innovate, mature, challenging, entertaining and DOES NOT HAVE GRIND NOR ELVES/ORCS/TROLLS/FLUFFY-ANIMAL-PLAYERS.
Horay for one step FORWARD for the MMO genre with The Secret World - a 10/10 game in my book
I have high hopes that this game will have a great community because its so different, doesn't hold your hand and therefor the kids will stay away from it.
So yeah I love the game, and I hope the community will provide an extra dimension.

Yeah, should have put in community as one of the options. I haven't taken part of it myself, but the involvement on people with the ARG's have been phenomenal.
The atmosphere is one of the best i've seen in any game the references to the horror genre and popular culture was so inter woven, and coupled with the dialouge and individual personalities in the cut scenes was brilliant Annabelle Usher for instance is so refershing to see a npc voiced like that they got a Scottish vibe bang on with that VO.
I liked the lore and atmosphere. Everything else in the game was pretty standard tbh... it felt like hellgate london. The hub to hub linear proggression was almost like running in the sewage tubs in hellgate. And the whole "world tree" teleporter thingie was absurd.

LOL Considering that " World tree teleporter " is part of our human history/myth just tells me you don't read much into that LOL I haven't ran into alot of hubs in the game at all? Not sure what your talking about, and hellgate london was no where near TSW, I thought Hellgate was medicore at best in every aspect.

I said i liked the lore so i understand the world tree... Maybe absurd was wrong word for it. I do see the quest areas as "hubs" altho they are more open and you constantly see other players. There are the basic quest givers, main and secondary. Then some other quests here and there which you can acquire.
When you saw Hellgate as mediocre, i see TSW the same. It maybe superior many ways to compare... But only the Lore and setting was intresting.

Honestly, like most things, but the investigation missions are probably at the top. Seriously, they may not be that many, but actually having quests that resolve around something so different than the generic "kill, fecth, escort" method is enough for me. So, i voted questing.
Atmosphere. Uninstalling came a close second, just not the game for me.
Heh, happened to me when I picked up Skyrim as well - or, I haven't uninstalled it yet, but haven't played it after the first 2-3 times either. Some games just rub you the wrong way when you first try them out. I remember trying Diablo and I thought it was just a boring grind. Then a friend of mine got to me to play it on a LAN and I got soooo hooked. I have probaly played Diablo2 for several hundred hours.

Hey black,
Yeah I like the combat and the questing system , the PvP the setting, I pretty much like it all.
For me if I had to pick one thing? It would be the questing system and then the combat a close second.
Questing/Lore are probably the same in this game.
So Questing/Lore.
Spec'ing properly is a gateway drug.

honestly, the best thing TSW has going for it is its theme/atmosphere
Ability system hands down with atmosphere being very well done.

Questing/Lore/Atmosphere. They're tied together so well in this game it makes most MMOs fall down and die in shame.
TERA might have a cool action combat, but the questing in that game sucks SO bad.
LOL I just had to point that one out that made me laugh, I agree LOL!!

I like the skill wheel and how it performs in combat. There's a lot of depth to the system.
The atmosphere is excellent as well. I also like the missions and storylines a lot.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
hhihi, no one likes the pvp.
I can understand it. TSW make the same mistake for pvp like Star Wars
