Hello,

i am trying to make a shotgun/blood magic build, i am reading around trying to understand if is a viable build or a loss of time, but i am not very good in number crunching, so i am open to suggestion and advices.

depends what you want to do.. for people new to the game id suggest going here

    http://www.endgameguides.com/TSW/Abilities/General/167

also id advise picking a deck and trying to build it out. Preset decks are not required but really help players not to familiar with the skill wheel

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg

Yeh, just pick a deck and work towards it. You'll get used to how those weapon sets work with each other gradually and will slowly start to figure out how things work well together overall. When you've completed a deck just start working towards another and see if some of those skills can be swapped into your current set up to make it better (they might not).

I don't see it as the sort of game where you will be just running around with the same build all the time. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's pretty much impossible to gimp yourself (You just might end up using skills you didn't really want to for the time being) and you'll end up with everything eventually anyway.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Shotgun/Blade is a very good combo with some good dps and decent survivability. I've been using it since Savage Coast and did not have any issues with soloing or killing any bosses. I breezed through part 18 of Dawning of the Endless Night with this combo or any other solo mission that people seem to have problems with. Except for the 2 missions that are not balanced properly, as was stated by Funcom.
