In the case Oracle vs Usedsoft where Usedsoft had sold use licences for Oracle products, the EU court ruled against the concensus that software may not be resold, favoring Usedsoft.
Law and court is a game so nothing is certain, but this may result in YOU actually beeing able to sell your used games in the future. It could mean "services" like Steam will have to allow for un-registering your games for resale.
The ruling can be changed in highest court and it is only a principle ruling not related to games, but it still gives hope for gamer.

Quote from the ruling: “Even if the licence agreement prohibits a further transfer, the rightholder can no longer oppose the resale of that copy,”
