List your Top 5 Games of all time and why. it doesnt have to be an mmo, but it wouldnt hurt to put on on the list since it is a MMO website! LOL Also dont critisise other ppls list and ppl likes and dislikes vary from one person to another. Also not in any order.

1. Mass Effect Series- IMO best storyline ever ( didnt like ending too much though)

2. Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines- Great story and good introduction to the old world of darkness.

3. Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim- great story, toon creation, varied toon builds, and great graphics

4. SWTOR- Storyline and still enjoy the game.

5. Eve Online- Character creation, Player driven, and lots of skills!

*** Raving Rabbid will be in the theater friday for opening of total recall with Kate Beckinsale!!******

All my opinions are just that..opinions. If you like my opinions..coolness.If you dont like my opinion....I really dont care.

    1) Neverwinter Nights - Best online RPG to date by a huge mile. Not even close.

    2) Planescape: Torment - Would be number 1 except for the fact that NWN has almost infinitely replayable content. This is by far the best actual RPG I have played though.

    3) Liberation: Captive - Made as a sequal to Liberation for the Amiga CD32, the game in scope and ambition was absolute light years ahead of it's time and one of a kind.

    4) Final Fantasy X - Picking the best FF is a bit of a personal thing and everyone is likely to disagree with each other. 7 Is by far the most popular it would seem but for me I preffered 8 and 10 more.

    5) System Shock 2 - Not played it? Go play it..

There's tons of other games worth mentioning though.. everything from GTA to Halo, Oblivion, Super Mario 3, Elite and so many more..

1.)  Handheld Pokemon games (The greatest games I've ever played, nothing comes close, mainly due to memories and such, but still to this day I can play Pokemon and have a blast.)

2.) World of Warcraft (I couldn't bare to put this above Pokemon, and even though I don't play WoW anymore I did love it, so much in fact that I had an almost constant subscription for 7 years.)

3.)  Fable Series (I adore the series, but mostly the first game.)

    4.) Portal series (Beyond amazing.)

5.) Mass Effect Series (Like the OP said the ending wasn't great, but the series as a whole was amazing.)

Ultima Online pre Trammel, the pvp and full looting was great, I miss it still.

Shadowbane, the pvp was the best ever and banes! omg were awesome.  Nothing like tearing up someone hard built city.

Fallout New Vegas, I love all the fallouts (cept 3) but FO-NV is quite fun.  I would really like this game in a MMO also if it was the same play style.

Baldurs Gate Series, best story of any game to date for me.  Not MMO but fantastic none the less.

Legends of Kesmai, I still play it on and off on a private server.   Its good old school fun, one of the first mmo's ever released, started in 95 on gamestorm.

    1. Age of Conan - loved the gore and the feel to the game, got addicted to it and had to quit due to the fact that my friends mysteriously left.

    2. Star wars galaxies pre cu - although i'm playing the swg emu atm , it has got to be the most diverse in depth mmo i have ever played, and plus i am a huge star wars fan anyway!

    3. Battlefield 3 - just an all round good FPS i think.

    4. Lord of the rings online - I only played this game for about 4 months but then left due to the fact that my friends left the game again, lmao, really enjoyed the main story quest, loved how everything in the game fitted in with the book/film and i loved some of the instances for example weathertop is an awesome instance!

    5. Rainbow six vegas 2 - possibly my most favourite out of all the lot, love this game with a passion, so many reasons to progress your character and i'm really looking forward to the new one coming out soon.

Besides those 5, i love - age of empires, call of duty 4, CRYSIS!!, Everquest 2!

    I would currently go for:

    1) Civilization Series

    2) Football Manager

    3) Final Fantasy 8

    4) Pokemon Series (Yellow being my favourite)

    5) Mass Effect Series

This list tends to change when i go back and play games again. It's almost impossible to narrow it down.

  • AlBQuirkyAlBQuirky Member EpicPosts: 7,432

It is tough to narrow the list down to just 5 :)

    1 - Morrowind
    2 - Master of Magic
    3 - Skyrim
    4 - City of Heroes
    5 - Neverwinter Nights

    - Al

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

Over the course of my gaming life, there have been many, but ones that stood out are:

    1. Final Fantasy 6.  IMO still the best characters in a FF game, lots of memories of this one.

    2. Kid Icarus.  Got it for Christmas as a kid, the nostalgia is off the charts.

    3. Super Mario 64.  My real introduction to 3D gaming, still holds up against the test of time in both fun and challenge.

    4. Zelda: Ocarina of Time.  Another classic N64 title.

    5. World of Warcraft.  Definitely one of my top played games, I spent years in Azeroth and enjoyed most of them.

    Some honorable mentions:

    - Borderlands

    - Left 4 Dead 2

    - Twisted Metal 2

    - Final Fantasy Tactics

    - Dawn of War: Dark Crusade

    1) DFO - say what you will, im a sucker for a sandbox. Really hope 2.0 delivers.

    2) Minecraft - (SMP Bukkit servers, love the endless possabilities... would love this concept in a true mmo format)

    3) AoC  (fortunate enough to be in an amazing guild for a few years leading US raid progression. Sadly enough we moved to rift and shortly after broke up. As they say.. your guild can make or break a game and I have great memories from my time there)

    4) Vanilla WoW

    5) Rainbow Six 3  -xbox live multiplayer-

    In no specific order.

  • I am 43 so I run the gambit.

    2: 1st Tomb Raider

    3. RE 2

    4 Asheron's Call

  • blognorgblognorg Member UncommonPosts: 643

-Final Fantasy 7 (First RPG I got into, will probably always be my favorite game)

-Castlevania: SotN (just played it again recently... STILL one of the best games available)

-Ragnarok Online (first MMO, still love most its features compared to modern MMOs)

-Dragon Quest 8 (such a tight game, awesome aesthetic, perfectly balanced main/side-questing, not too complicated but has depth)

    -Demon Stalkers (for nostalgic reasons)

  • Raiyu_DefiedRaiyu_Defied Member UncommonPosts: 23

    1 - World of Warcraft

    2 - Pokemon series

    3 - Dark Cloud

    2. Dragon Age: Origins

    3. Grand Theft Auto series, all the way back from the first one

    4. Trials Evolution (Xbox arcade, and yes, -I'm serious, with community made content replay value is off the charts.)

    5. Red Dead Redemption

Edit: Okay, I gotta put this in here, let's just say it shares my 5th pick, I see others have mentioned it too, but I completely forgot about it.

    5. Heroes of Might and Magic
