I'd like to start making 3D models for a game, but have no experience. I was wondering if anyone here DOES have quite a bit of experience and could talk to me on MSN.
I have experience, but I could not explain how to model well over MSN. I would get Blender and start with some tutorials and build up from there. 3D modeling does not take too long to learn, but it takes a long time to learn to do it well. There are lots of videos on youtube and books on how to model.
Personally, I prefer Blender over Maya and 3D Studio Max. Its closer to a game engine then the other 2. Also its free! Ohh and in the UK, you will probably have more accessible resources like buying tutorials from the developers.
