Steam Overlay?

Does Steam Overlay work with GW2? Did anyone try it during beta?

    So ONE guy announces he's canceling his pre-order and it generates a 75 page thread.

     

    Someone, me, asks a simple question and not a single reply...way to go people!  GW2 community is awesome and helpful!! image

    Oh, if you have steam, you can shift-tab and chat with other steam firends, etc.

    I don't know much about steam and don't use it myself. But arenanet has said GW2 won't be downloadable from steam... does that answer your question? I don't know.

    OHHH perhaps someone who knows how that works can test it tomorrow.. I know my husband has messed with it to show him playing GW2 when he is even though it isnt steam.

    That's exactly it. 

     

    I put in my question to one of my GW2 fanactic steam friends...I'll find out. I was sure someone here would know tho. I have to admit I'm a little disappointed...heh

    Yes it work ! I repeat Steam overlay works great with GW2.

    I have been using it for all beta week ends and stress tests :)

     

    I have yet to find a game (with a proper 3D engine of course) that does not work with Steam overlay.
