Need help with linking accounts!

hey guys so i just preordered gw2, i played gw1 and have all the expansions and got some stuff in my hall of monuments. the email i use for gw1 is so old that i cant log in to the actual email account but i can log into the game because its different passwords. i was wondering would it be possible to make a new gw2 account and link them? again i can not log into the email and have tried every possible password i used to use for like 5 years lol so i really want to get my hall of monument rewards so what should i do? thanks guys

actaully figured it out, when they ask if you have a gw1 account select no, later you can link them when you go to download the game
