Over the past couple years I noticed the following trends personally and on this site:

Somewhat amusing.

1. Game is announced.

2. Information during development slowly trickles out.

3. Information given by developers is misconstrued, overblown, changed, trolled, loved, imagined, or met with disbelief.

4. People forming a good or bad opinion based whether the game should been made to suit them, met with shoulder shrug, or downright slobbering of your mouth.

5. Any videos shown of gameplay are met with same results whether true or not. ...cartoony, low resolution, high praise, or the slobbering mouth again.

6. The WOW comparisons begin......as well as how soon the game will go free to play.

7. The fanboy and trollers go at it with fever pitch. I've seen MMA fights that were kind and gentler.....

8.  Beta begins.....all of the above get worse....

9. The fanboys pull away saying this game is God's gift to man since bacon was 1st eaten.

10. Second beta test begins.... Some of the fanboys start having reservations....the detractors say nah nanny boo boo stick your face in doo doo... Some ppl cancel or threaten to cancel pre orders.

11. The stress tests starts...ppl are playing or out.

12. Game comes out!!!!!!!!!!

13. Week 1 the complaints start to roll in........fanboys hate on previous fanboys. It's a free for all!!!!

14. Day 30. Ppl say the game sucks cancel thier sub and move back to another game.

15. Day 45. The game is the worst thing to hit the market  while some ppl stick around and play. 

No game is immune........
