It is not a phishing scam it is legit. Someone got a hold of a ton of addresses. Even people who don't play but have an account from GW1. To be safe just manually go to the site and change your email and password.
Dear Lord, do people honestly believe hackers got hold of some kind of email master list for GW2. I get about 6 WoW related mails a month, probably more since I never check. The only time I played WoW was way back during the Open Beta and my email account didn't exist back then.
They simply got a hold of a large email database, of which there are plenty floating around and are going through it to see if anything kicks back. Stop making an elephant out of this tiny mouse.
Hackers, which these people don't even actually fall under, will try and compromise anything popular simply because there is money to be gained.
Make sure you have a secure PC and don't do stupid things like over using 1 password.

The Stranger: It's what people know about themselves inside that makes 'em afraid.
What can men do against such reckless hate?
